I know but I'm getting sick of being back to square one with no sign of getting back to how I felt for 3 weeks when I first started the Carnivore Diet. Why would you do that - Eat things that you know are not good for you!
I combated keto flu a few times, but never hit it as hard as when I went carnivore... It lasted weeks longer than usual for me, but I did come out of it at the other end. Don't give up now. Still feel horrid? Try bone broth and/or an electrolyte supplement. You're likely quite out of whack, and your body needs to find a new equilibrium...I'll start from the beginning. I had my annual check up with the Nurse at my GP's clinic Blood pressure and weight and all the rest.
When I returned home I checked out the results from my previous check up and discovered I'd lost about 15lbs when compared to the one I'd just had.
I never weigh myself at home and just go on appearance and how my clothes fit.
I was really pleased because I've had big problems losing any weight.
I'd been half heartedly eating a Keto diet but frankly eating lots of the wrong things as well, such as pies and potatoes and other Carb foods.
So I though it must have worked despite my mistakes, and this encouraged me to take it more seriously.
I did some research about the Carnivore Diet and though I could speed things up if I took up this way of eating.
So I used up all my rubbish food then started the diet strictly.
I was amazed after just two days I felt wonderful, the best since I was in my 20s; more energy, clarity of thought, sleeping better, needing to get up less for a pee, I think some of my aches and pains became less.
Then about 3 weeks later I started coughing and sneezing and aching all over Brain fog was another symptom, I thought it was Covid or Flu?
I tested myself for Covid, which was negative. After a couple of weeks the symptoms got less but I'm still not back to how I was after 6 weeks.
So frustrated thinking how great things were just a few weeks ago.
I'm contemplating getting out of Keto and the Carnivore diet temporary and eating lots of carbs and all the other bad things, then getting back into it after a couple of weeks?
How is the condition now? When you start to burn body fat, all the toxins stored with the fat are released.
There have been over the years quite a few events termed 'wrecks' where there have been huge numbers of birds and other coast dwelling animals found dead after spells of bad weather. They had not died of starvation, having reserves of fat present - but their blood was full of toxic substances from breaking down the first part of their reserves, which they were unable to get rid of fast enough.
