The Diet Plate

i think my last blood results was 7.1 in november and 6.8 in march.

Yes i do some tests before and afterwards when i remember or when i have eaten something that i am unsure what it will do to my blood sugars. At the moment they are all under 7.

I am also trying to do some additional exercise as I have signed up for the Race for Life on 4 July and have said that I want to run it.

Training is going well, but it is hard with all this weight.

And I am 36 this year an am not going to be fat and 40. And want to see my daughter have children (She is only 3).

Hello again Catherine :)

You are very brave to sign up to run in the race for life :!: You really will need to keep a closer check on your BG levels to help you with this.

Your Hba1c is an average which means there may well be many very high or even very low levels in the mix to give you your result; the fact that your Hba1c is only just under 7 means that you are clearly going much higher at times. :(

You need to test more often than at present and keep a stricter eye on your levels. Knowing what the numbers are empowers you so that you know what foods to cut to avoid the extremes (which cause the complications) and to help you with the weight loss. If it helps just keep the new baby you want uppermost in your mind! :D

Keep well and let us know how you get on! :)

Never though of using a smaller plate for meals :) It is important for me to have small meals and regular meals for my weight training aswell and diabeties :D
