The Polar Bear Inn, a virtual pub

Oh dear, have I made massive faux pas, or did you intend to type Mr Bear.

Either way, here's a jolly little bottle of the whisky in question, specially boxed for you and yours.

Oh dear. More sadness. It's been one of those days.
Dear old Dad was rather partial to a drop of scotch but I don't think I ever heard him mention Antiquary other than in a literary sense. So i'll have a double Glenmorangie please landlord and raise a toast to his memory.
Sorry guys, you always get one don't you

Rather sad indeed, Janiept however, at least it gave you the opportunity to mention your dear old dad for old times sake, and that's no bad thing, now is it.

Landlady, another two doubles of our favourite tipple over here at our table please.

Just as well I can joke about it now... you know...the "poison"...a very, very long time ago I was seriously addicted to the stuff.
All in the past now, but I still don't go near the stuff.

Best wishes,
willie.

Ah, thank God for a friendly cheerful face to cheer things up around here. Lets hope some of the regulars come and join us. The landlord is looking worried about loss of income
Cheers Willie.

Who needs income? My over heads are very low. I'm a bear, I get my stock for free, nobody is going to argue with a polar bear. Not for very long anyway.

I won't argue with that Thommo !

Dish of the day is a low carb vegetarian curry. Cows are vegetarians aren't they? I like to be accurate about these things.

Very quiet in here tonight. Too many pancakes obviously. St Pancake has a lot to answer for.

All have gone to the Dog & Gun next door, the food and drink is better

Of course, I do own that establishment also, through intermediaries. A good businessbear sews (stitches? English is so tricky for a bear) up the local opposition also, a lesson I learned from Tesco.

Barkeep,
Bring to me, a pint 'o wine....
( a "Châteauneuf-du-Pape" if you have it!)
Thanks

It just so happens I decanted a couple of bottles about six hours ago, nicely ready for drinking right now. A large one?

Sorry I'm late - I have just been making pancakes for the hoards. I even had one myself with sugar free jam and double cream - yum! Bs only 6.6 an hour after eating! Anyway, mines a large class of Chardonnay please. Actually, on second thoughts, make it a baileys with ice.
