I had a quick look, but couldn't see anything specific. However, there's another piece of kit on the same website called the Circulation Maxx Ultra and it does say that's OK for people with diabetes because it doesn't vibrate. I'll research the other one more thoroughly tomorrow. Thanks for flagging it up, though, Jan!

Not really a fully fledged scream but my eyes are stinging with hayfever so mini aargh
 
Well made an appointment with practice nurse for diabetic review 7th June that's ok but then tried to make appointment for some one to examine the wounds from my surgery of 3 weeks ago as one is not looking right or feeling right for that matter as a diabetic healing can be problematic and as I am taking two different immuno supresents one being prednisolone cant afford any hint of an infected wound to be told would have to come in on emergency appointment that would entail sitting in the waiting area for up to or maybe longer than two hours had to say that in my present condition I am incapable of doing so then told oh OK then just phone at eight in the morning for a normal appointment with doctor.

Every time so far when we have done that it always ends in an emergency appointment and a two hour wait.is this a valid scream or am I being unreasonable. Sorry for long post which of course I have just lengthened.

I know the feeling @JohnEGreen Ron has the same problem seeing a nurse fine if he wants an appointment for doctor forget it . we either have to wait ages for duty doctor or get up really early to see what's available on line. Appointments at our surgery are getting ridiculous especially as they print up how many people failed to keep their appointments each month .
 
The surgery used to be great you could phone in the morning and get an appointment with your doctor same day. But since they have merged with the surgery that was next door and still only have one phone line it's been impossible. .

VERY valid scream. Took me a week to find an appt at our surgery, with the doc I wanted and when I did find one it was 18 days hence at 3pm, just the one....online booking. Hate ringing cos receptionists seem to think you should accept ANY doctor at ANY time....

John, I had something vaguely similar last year, after some surgery. Mine wasn't a wound healing issue, but I'll save you the details, except to say, I needed to understand how to cope with a tricky situation.

I have limited experience of emergency appointment, thankfully, so was sceptical how it would pan out.

I'm pleased to say our surgery appears to operate a simple triage process on arrival, when we are asked if we can disclose why we are there. Those sounding most urgent or serious, and small children are prioritised. I was surprised how long I didn't have to wait!

I hope your concerns can be resolved.
 
Well will phone surgery in morning and see what happens but if am given emergency appointment will refuse it. There is always the twenty four hour walk in at Kingsmill only a five minute drive though would probably have long wat there. What really is annoying me is as I am a Myasthenic my name on their computer system is annotated with the directive that if I am having problems I must be seen immediately the receptionist seems to ignore this.

If you don't mind me asking what gp surgery do you go to .

John - I've used a walk in centre twice, about 5 years apart and each time I waited hours and hours. They similarly triaged the arrivals, and there seemed to be a million chesty babies and children around!

Surely it would be better to go somewhere you know, and go prepared to a bit of a sit. Take a book, or if you have an iPad or other tablet, why not download a couple of tv programmes from iPlayer and watch it using headphone to listen.

When you get there, and check in, you could tell them you're really not feeling at all bright, and hopefully you won't get through your tv downloads.

I hope it goes OK.
