The Truth about Low Carb diets (?)

Ok, so I can be cynical. Especially when there's 'Truth' in a newspaper headline, because it often isn't.

I am curious as to whether the mounting evidence that following an LCHF diet is far more beneficial to us than the 'Eatwell' plan is triggering a bit of an institutional push-back. Us pesky diabetics not following official medical advice! How dare they!
Yes, there might be quite a lot of real 'truth' in that. The way I see it, there is just no alternative to a LC diet.

One of the scientists involved stated the trial was not about low carb high fat diet

Yet another reason why I no longer read newspapers, believe anything on the jelly vision nor worry about about anyone’s options or beliefs.
The latest fad seems to be folk who “wish to believe.....” - good grief the world population is converting to magic pseudo nonsense.
As the Romans once allegedly said, sod the grain to feed the starving, fill the arenas with gladiators and wild animals and give everyone a good show.
Yours effervescently,

A lot of things these days seem to be just a distraction, to give us something light and fluffy to think about, so we don't trouble our heads too much.

I think that I know why this article has appeared. I read a few weeks ago that Pasta, Bread and Rice were falling in sales. There's our answer folks lol

I fear you are quite correct.. these days I always try and get to the source and ignore the newspaper article.. such a shame and they all do it.. well not sure about the Times as I refuse to fund it..
Well, I am going to carry on what I am eating LCHF, as I have lost just over 2 dress sizes, feel more awake and my Arthritis is nothing like as bad as it was or my Fibromyalgia. I am also sleeping better.

Brilliant great results and well done I hope you won't be put off by the badly written newspaper reports... I fear that many might.

Thank you. No, I won't be put off by the papers report. I ate that way thinking I was doing myself good and ended up Prediabetic and gained weight. I was also in agony with Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. I still have pain some days due to weather changes, but nothing like before when I was eating high Carbs (Even though they were supposed to be healthy carbs) Nope I am a happy Bunny
