My mum said I'd have to put Glucotabs in water then stir it. The website says it's a chewable dextrose tablet. Which is it

Yes as I have always had them in dissolved and I have been diabetic 17yrs
I can't take tablets. Can you dissolve them? I don't think you can dissolve normal dextrose tablets. Can you dissolve them in water

You chew them like lollies.
but what about me? I cant chew on lollies so I can't chew on gluco-tabs. Are jelly babies soft as I have been suggested the following from the dietitian:
Carry on with my Lucozade treatment;
Gluco-Tabs
Jelly Babies

Gluco tabs or dextrose tablets are consumed by putting them in your mouth, chewing and swallowing. You don't take them like a tablet, you eat them like food. I've never attempted to dissolve them in water and I can't imagine the results would be very pleasant. They are easily availible in chemists like boots and in supermarkets.

Is there any chance of sucking on them? If not can you use a full sugar squash? Surely there is no reason you can't put them in water if in doubt try it and see how it dissolves if ok then you can drink it

I need help from someone who dissolved Gluco-Tabs about whether the results are good after dissolving a Gluco-Tab in water if I have a hypo.

I have Texture Issues

What exactly is "texture issues"? I'll let you into a secret, no one like dextrose tablets. But they treat hypos quickly, you don't eat them to enjoy the experience, you eat them to correct your blood sugar and it's over in seconds.

If you can't eat food, which is the only skill a dextrose tablet requires, try glucojuice. I think there are also dissolvable glucose sachets available inthat section of boots.

The suggestions from your dietician are perfectly sensible, why not just try them.

You can also get glucose that you just add to water. Get it from Boots.

Hypo stoppers can be varied... i have 2 sq of my fav aldi choc. I used to have sugar in milk...

Glucotabs melt In your mouth pretty quickly, or you can get glucose powder from the supermarket and mix it with squash. I sometimes mix it in milk with milkshake, that's smooth.
