The verbal abuse club

Yes the person was banned...mo took prompt swift action ...I was really impressed, with the moderator and support ....Kat
 
As of Fri, this member was banned. I'm sorry there are a few messages still around but they must have been sent some time Fri or before. I can't say this won't happen again but if it does we will deal with it. Thankfully, this is rare but unfortunately it will happen from time to time. Good to read all the support though . Thanks, Mo

I moderate on another (hobby related) forum and you do get a very small minority of trolls and others who are just out to make trouble and think that it makes them somehow important to create a fuss. Scandi you handled it exactly the right way.

However, I don't know if you reported it immediately (using the report button - not being funny here, but do that rather, or as well as, opening a thread about it). If this forum is similar, that is the quickest way to get the attention of whichever mod is online, and even if they don't have the admin rights to ban, they can at least put the miscreant under moderated status so that any future posts can't make it onto the open forum without prior approval.

I reported what happened , but dealing with your feelings at the time of an abused thread .....well we are all different I shared my feelings after reporting....I needed to do both, it was my way of coping....Kat ( moved on now ) ......and after having threats which were really nasty I rather like this club to share ....
 
No problem with that Kat, I would have done the same. One thing about this site, you can rely on support whatever happens.
