Yes, it was tested six months ago and came back normal Snapsy, but thank you for thinking along those lines xxI lost lots of hair after the radioiodine treatment for my hyperthyroid made me hypothyroid. Once I was on replacement thyroxine it was fine.
It might well be worth getting your thyroid function tested, @Mal37 .
Animal protein is a great source of B vitamins.Mine has definitely thinned since I started low carb. I don't take metformin or anything else for diabetes so I am assuming it is change of diet and perhaps lack of B vitamins as I used to eat a lot of 'healthy' grain. Nine months in I think it is starting to improve as there is far less hair in the shower plug but of course it will take time to thicken! My thyroid was also checked and OK. Maybe it takes the body time to adjust to a completely different diet. I have just had my Vit D levels checked and they are really good which I speculate could be because of all the fat?
