Well that was the worse game I've seen in the tournament so far for 115 minutes, then for 5 minutes it was one of the best!
 
I agree, how many times have you seen teams go through the motions for 90 mins, then all of a sudden they are trying to win the game in extra time!
Modern coaching, modern football, hope England were taking a serious look at them because they are so organised and kept the best player in the world out of the game..........until!
 
Yes I hope the England management team have looked at the organisation of all of the 'underdogs' in the tournament, in fact every single team played better in at least one game than England did in all three. Sadly I don't think anything will change any time soon.

It's a shame that Switzerland played for the draw (until Argentina scored!) and Argentina didn't have a plan b when Messi was kept quiet, it smacks of Argentina not having any plan except "give the ball to Lionel"

Did you see the Belgium v USA game? Was it any better?
 
Good ending, the States have opened the eyes of the world, they are going to be big soon. Apparently 'soccer' has taken off over the pond!
Another great game, the energy and the way that they went out, appeals to the good old british sympathies!

Belgium just about deserved it, because they created and scored the goals, best bench in the comp!
They just need to have a better grasp on tactics!
 
I've got the official FIFA app on my phone and was looking at the stats last night. The highest number of shots on target so far in the competition is 55, earning who the title of most attacking team?
Belgium.
 
I was enjoying the USA v Belgium, and managed to stay awake for the extra time Belgium goal but ,couldn't stay up any longer, just too tired.
What was the end result, thanks ?

The Algeria game was the best game of the tournament for me and the extra time period in the USA game was quite riveting too. The Brazil game in the first half was also exceptional.

I didn't see it, I play darts on a Tuesday evening when I'm not working away, I'd rather have seen that game than the snoozefest that was Argentina v Switzerland

No, its just that Football is so "up Front" at the moment, that the majority of E mails I get are Soccer related.
I actually enjoy Football as much as Rugby, but not crazy about either.
Going to enjoy it when Holland beats Brazil in the final He He

I'd like Holland to win but not if they get subsumed by the dark side like they did in the final four years ago.
 
I was gutted for Switzerland last night, they were under the cosh throughout the second half and did remarkably well to keep Argentina out and was so pleased when the full-time whistle blew. The first half of the extra time they had Argentina on the back-foot and all looked promising, had they held out I was sure they'd win on penalties, such as shame but thoroughly enjoyed the game
