This is the part of the forum where we can talk about anything, or so it says.

We could talk about carbs, fats, calories, the price of eggs and how interesting the current political situation is in regard to curbs on benefits.

However, I don't wish to discuss any of these.

I want to share the fact that at this present moment, I would kill for a Rich Tea bikkie. :evil:

I think I like the "General Chat" section.
 
Last night I dreamt I ate a vegetable biriani whilst sitting at Ayers Rock. It was bliss
 
I dream about crisps, bags and bags of them. Find it very hard not to pick uup a packet when in the shop. Any flavour will do but have managed not to eat one, yes, one, a single crisp since July. I dont know how much longer i will be able to resist. GGRRRRR. :evil:

Andy a bag of Walkers plain crisps contains 12g of carbs. OK not the best food to be eating but an occasional bag is not going to kill you, in fact I had one yesterday with my Burgen sandwich for lunch

Lunch = Total carbs 34grams.


As for dreams I dream of a good nights sleep but rarely sleep for more than an hour and a half at any time, been like this for 5 years now since I came out of Intensive Care :cry:
 
I know Sid, one bag wont hurt me but i usually went for the big bags and ate the lot!!
I manage to sleep well, its mum who is very like you, up most of the night reading and she tells me she hates nights because of this.
I have weakened of late though re carbs as i have been having 3 slices of toast for breakfast so i can get my marmite fix. Just got to have it and it dosnt taste so good on cauliflower or broccoli. This hasnt upset my blood figures too much and my weight loss is slowly continueing. BMI down to 24.6 as of this morning so thats why i will continue to resist crisps.

Think you've got problems? I dreamt about eating a squirrel while being attacked by a slice of buttered white toast... :lol:
 
Since I've been stabbing myself with daily Victoza, I've been able to enjoy 2 x Rich Tea with my morning coffee and afternoon cuppa without inflicting a spike or influencing my HbA1c 8) .. :thumbup:
 

As long as its cooked its ok, rather like chicken, especially if you barbi it. Not a lot of meat on it, need several.

Looks like I have started something with this one! Funny thing is, I don't really have a sweet tooth normally, my weakness is crisps..and lots of 'em! Would love to know where you get your willpower from Andy.

Now then. I would love to have a go at the recipes Judith but whey powder? Wossat? And the second link isn't working I'm afraid.

As for the remarks made up above about crumpet, well..boys will be boys. They are male members after all ! :wink: :lol:
 
I don't have a sweet tooth, either, but I'm a sucker for Eccles cakes. Fortunately, they don't sell 'em in Luxembourg. Jam doughnuts, on the other hand.....
