Today was going so fabulously!! Blood sugar was staying consistent, highest it was was 8.5 after a meal then BAM have dinner whilst doing other things totally forgetting to give insulin around the time that my basal is wearing off.....

Just to think had I injected 1.5hrs before I could have gone to bed in a fantastic mood!
Ah type 1 why do you demand so much

just a little thought that's all, I don't feel bad or mad just a little meh after this.

it happens to us all .................................be safe and well ... !!

Sometimes it sucks doesn't it? 2 positives though - a you didn't mis-calculate the carbs and go low, and b at least you know why it went high! Lol

Unfortunately it does happen @isjoberg, just so annoying when it does :banghead:

Hi @isjoberg yes I can sympathise, I remember a couple of times driving to work, then realising half way there that I'd forgotten to inject my basal, so had to drive home again. although an even worse feeling was thinking did I or didn't I then waiting it out to see

Only one thing worse than forgetting to inject your basal is forgetting you've injected and then injecting again :-( Only happened to me once though and I was on low doses at the time so no big drama :-)

A few weeks back woke at 2.30am and first thought was oh **** ( or something similar) I forgot to basal. Strangely enough was in no doubt. Remember what made me forget.
It's so annoying but I guess we wouldn't be normal if we was perfect.
