Nicola, sorry if I've asked this before, but are you under the care of your hospital diabetes clinic? With all this tiredness it might be worth having a consultation with the Endocrinologist.

Hello yep I am I see my diabetes nurse every now and again...well when they feel like it and my consultant about every 6months...which is endocrinology! They'd just say it's my bloods but it's not!!

I have my blood test results but I don't understand them so il upload them when I get home!

NicolaAnne, please remind me, what were your thyroid results? And did you get antibodies checked?
These are my last blood test results dated 15/07/2014

But no thyroid test?

I havent all reference ranges in my head, but nothing stands out - apart from your HbA1c, of course.

Dig deeper for thyroid results, usually TSH, FT4 and FT3.

So my doctor could have lied about seeing thyroid results then?? That is literally everything that is listed on the bit of paper the receptionist gave me!

tHi Nicola I have been thinking about your GP and their advice about the extra vitamins and I mentioned you shouldn't need these if you have a healthy diet. Just wondering what you eat and is it healthy with a variety of foods, such as fruit, vegetables, protein, dairy, seeds or nuts ?

RRB :)

If I have the money then yes I try my very best to eat healthily! I have my blueberry and yoghurt for breakfast most mornings and ryvitas or soup for lunch and then dinner just varies really! I have cut back on a lot of junk though! X

I'm butting in here... Are you having meat n veg Nicola every day?

If you are cutting the **** (sorry for that expression!)... You may well be suffering the effects of carb flu.

Are you having ryvita with butter or cheese or any veg like a sliced pepper which is packed with some vitamins.. For dinners a sweet potato has good amounts of a vitamin..(C) I think!!

You need some veg everyday...

Are you taking vitamins everyday?

That's great that you have cut back on the junk food, well done. By reading you food content it looks pretty healthy. Another thought, maybe the change in your diet could of contributed to you feeling tired as your body could be missing the junk foods and taking time to adjust. Reading this, it does sound bonkers, but our bodies do react to changes in mysterious ways!!o_O
Please look after yourself and let us know how you get on and a thyroid test would be good, even if it is just to rule it out, Take care and goodnight
RRB :D

Thyroid test on my GP reports is listed as TFT.. And the 3 and 4 as listed above.

I cannot see those listed on the paperwork you've given here.

It would appear that certainly you haven't had these tested recently.

I would request again that your thyroid be tested and also B12 and folate, and vitamin d.

However, tiredness can also be caused by lowering your carbs..sugar in any state can give a buzz.. Thats very basically put, so forgive me for not getting into the science on this one.....or specific links to proof of a 'buzz'. I link it to a 'mars a day helping you to work, rest and play"-why?? So very briefly explained...

Ah I remember that advert DD, probably the amount of sugar in the bar that proved to be the great 'pick me up'

How about this one!!!

A finger of fudge is just enough to give your kids a treat:
A finger of fudge is just enough until its time to eat;
Its full of Cadburys goodness and very small and neat
.. Just enough to give your kids a treat.

Please tell me what "cadburys goodness" was????

Sorry, diverted thread again!!

Nicola.. Also the another way also if trying to lose some weight and cutting carbs is 8 hours sleep. (Hubby loses weight on late shifts when getting 8 hours sleep, struggles on AM shifts when he gets 4-6 hours).

Quantity of good sleep is very important to your body regenerating itself each night.

No more daft Choc rhyme adverts from years ago...:)

Ah, I remember it well DD, but that was then, as the song says ' as time goes by' I do feel old age creeping up on me now .though o_O

Agree with your post DD and I'm sure Nicola is taking all the help and advice on board:)

Best wishes RRB

Meat pretty much every day and veg...when I can really! But I am having multivitamins everyday!!
Ryvita's with butter and marmite! I know there are some things I probably need to include in my diet but without the money all the time I cannot do that but surely that wouldn't cause me to be tired that much! Like my yawning is pretty much every couple of seconds and they last about 20 seconds!!! It's the long yawns!! I can't remember a morning when i have woken up feeling refreshed!!! :( Got the sicky feeling again today too!

I am just so fed up! xx
