testing sugar level it has gone back to normal now my cold has nearly gone. What I do not understand is I am still very tired all the time.

Hi richard
Type 2 also. I went through a period of overtiredness before i was diagnosed
.Knew something was wrong with me as i have always been an early riser .( don't know much more than that but someone on here with experiance will post to you soon ). Hopefully :D

It may be that you've got insulin resistance, so the glucose your muscles cells need for energy isn't getting through to them - hence you're tired. It may take longer to recover from a cold than you would otherwise expect. Don't push yourself too hard, let your body recover in its own time - but mention it to your HCP next time you see one. They need to know, even if it seems like nothing.

Eat well, and keep warm!

sometimes carbs can make you tired, try low carbs, i feel more alive now, and i sleep at night, but not too sleepy in the day
