I've always found hypos one of the the worst things about T1 diabetes (at least if you are aiming for any sort of reasonable control). I hate them with a passion.
If you give us some more information as @Jaylee asked then we may be able to help.
Also, if you live in the UK there is a diabetes helpline available for you on Monday morning Diabetes UK has a confidential helpline for questions about day-to-day management.
Call: 0345 123 2399 Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
Not much good if you're sick at a weekend though.
And if you're too sick to cope you can always ring 111 for advice.... (assuming you are in UK).
Hi @Paul smedley, how are you today? Are you on your own? It’s a hard time, and friends are important.
Come and talk with us on this site if you need to get things straight, not just with the diabetes load but anything else too.
Did you ring the number @EllieM put up? I hope you’ve a good stock of jelly babies to hand too.
Hypos, I find, can make a big difference to the way I see the world; what’s just an ordinary, fairly small problem, or no problem at all, can become an insoluble nightmare for my glucose starved brain. All that adrenaline that’s sometimes released to counteract the hypo too will sometimes make me want to run away from everything, or, on the other hand, to set the hounds of hell on it.
A jelly baby or two is a wonderful antidote!
