Oh dear. Must have been very frustrating when people don't have a clue.One of my least favourite days at work... "Bring and Share" so I did my bit and brought in a pasta bake and Rice Krispie cakes then tried to find a corner to eat my perfectly carb counted salad whilst I was subject to "Aren't you going to have some cake?" "It's delicious" "Ohh you can have a day off" - for those that know me well they don't question but everyone else...
Obviously I don't want to announce my diagnosis in front of everyone so I tend to use the "I'm being good" line to which I often hear that everyone deserves a treat etc etc. Inside I am screaming "I wish I wasn't, I wish I didn't have to plan and calculate every day".
Last week I cleared up the training room whilst every ate pizza!!!
Just wondering how everyone else tackles this? It took some serious willpower but today the only treat I had was one tiny chocolate when appropriate (heading low anyway) and I managed to stay in range all day.
SorryHey @steveis36 The OP is type 1 so can take insulin to cover the carbs eaten, however the issue is making sure the insulin dose matches the carbs eaten
