Hi, after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I have changed my lifestyle and way of eating for the last 3 months nearly and have managed to lose nearly a stone and a half... the other night... i don't know why but I felt I desparately needed something sweet.... I miss my odd sweet but continued to gorge half a large jar of almond brittle made by friends in Spain... I couldn't eat it quick enough... it was like some sort of fix... anyway since then..approx 36 hours ago I have had the most severe stomach cramps and bloating I thought I was going to have to go to hospital... sometimes so severe i couldn't hardly move. It did calm down for an hour or so after going to loo.... I know it was really bad to have eaten what I did and will never do it again but I just couldn't stop myself.... i wondered if it was anything to do with the diabetes... or just an intolerance to maybe the almond.... or should I say the almonds in such great quantity... i have really learnt my lesson... the pain is still quite bad but is getting slightly less in severity. Any input would be good please....
