Travel Abroad Help!

I’m travelling to Prague first thing in the morning and have completely forgot to get a letter from My GP to explain that I require my medication and equipment with me on the flight.

I have multiple letters that I was give when I was diagnosed confirming my diagnosis and a couple of prescription letters that I got given also when I was diagnosed, will these be enough?

I'm currently away but only in Belfast and travelled with a few out of date letters to say I'm type 1, mustn’t be separated from my kit etc; it can’t go through x Ray, an old repeat scrip but as ever none of it was looked or necessary. You'll be fine so enjoy Prague, it’s lovely.

I have a standard letter with no date on it which I carry for all overseas travel. It is so old it is starting to fall apart.
In over 15 years and, literally, over 100 flights, I can count the number of times I have needed it on one hand.
You will be incredibly unlucky to be asked for a letter and, if you are, the documents you mentioned should be fine.

Don't panic. Enjoy Prague.
And, when you return, ask for a reusable letter.

Pre-Covid I used to travel in Europe for work 2 or 3 times a month, usually Germany, Holland, Belgium and France. I have a letter in my medical kit bag, but nobody has EVER asked to see it. Airport security staff are pretty familiar with diabetes medication and insulin pens IME.

(I have only ever had to show a letter once - in Saudi Arabia, where they are very twitchy about medication.)
