Hi All
Having just been diagnosed Type 2, I now need to inform my travel insurance company. Can anyone tell me if their premiums went up when te did this?
I had enough trouble recently trying to take out annual insurance as three years ago I had my gall bladder removed because of stones which turned out to be cancer! Then had to have a liver op to make sure that it hadn't spread - which was all clear. I did not need medication or treatment and have been clear for nearly three years now. But, as soon as gall bladder cancer was mentioned I was turned down. They would insure me for individual trips but not annual, which meant that they would get more money out of me.
We are off skiing at the beginning of Feb and my husband says to leave it for now. Is that wise?? I have been on 1 x 500mg Metformin since 14th Jan for one week and yesterday( 21st Jan) went up to 2 per day. My first appointment with the Diabetes nurse after we come back.
