Travel insurance

Hi Millermoo, your travel agent won't give you the best value, of that I am sure, worth getting a quote from them though. Try going on to the insurance sites, put in your details and they will come up with a list tailor made for your condition. There are specialist insurers out there that do cater for people with diabetes.

Which is the best travel insurance company to use for type 1? Traveling to USA.

Have you looked at the aggregators yet - moneysupermarket/comparethemarket etc? Most of them have an option to declare conditions you have. I'd start there, and if necessary go out further.

This site has some information on travel insurance, but in full disclosure, I have never tried them out, so I have no idea on how good/bad or indifferent they might be.
