I don’t use insulin myself, nor do I travel much! But I’ll tag in a couple of members who are on insulin and are travellers who may be able to help you @In Response and @EllieM

Hi @Blakey996
I am going to Lanzarote tomorrow and flying from manchester.
I am a regular flyer and have only ever taken a copy of my prescription.
At easter this year getting through security was a joy as i didn't have to remove anything from my hand luggage as they had the new scanners!

I wish you a fantastic holiday.

Tony

I've done a lot of travelling (though not to Greece) and only once been asked for a letter. (In the end I got away with a very old diabetes card).

Thanks

I have carried a letter with me for 20 years on, literally, hundreds of flights.
I have shown it once. That was when there was a heightened security level.due to the shoe bomber. I have not needed it since.

Personally, I always take a doctor’s letter with me, even if I probably won’t need it. It only takes a minute, and it’s totally worth the peace of mind.

Yes, I also had to show mine only once. But always have it.

Never shown my letter but still feel happy with it in my bag
