Just started on trebisa today.Have the prefilled pens at the moment and would like to get the cartridges.Can I use the novopen echo with these or which pen do I need. Thanks in advance.

Just that it might take a while for you to find the correct dose, but it is very flat when you do. Also it is likely to last well over 24 hours so you won't see any drop off if you're a bit late with your next shot.
 
It will be trial and error for a few days I suppose but it saves me having to do two injections a day as I was on split Levemir. Got it at the hospital clinic so just hope the doctor will prescribe!!

Should be OK with the GP - it's not as expensive as it used to be.

I was told by a member on here that it's quite common to have to reduce Tresiba after being on it for a while so just a little heads up for you, I was started on 8 units when I was diagnosed in November but am currently down to 5 x
 
Thanks for that I'll bear that in mind but its early days.I was on Levemir on 14 units a day so it is already a bit less
 
Hi @moray lass I was on Tresiba prior to the pump - loved it :) Took a few weeks to adjust insulin dose mind and adjustments take a few days to settle in so don't rush into changing your dose straight away, it lasts around 36 hours, I definitely recommend this one :)
 
Hi. I have been on Lantus since being diagnosed. Lately been having issue with going high overnight (only take one injection in the morning) asked doctor about Tresiba. He showed me the cost and for the refills its about the same. Just had agreement from specialist and will be changing as of Monday. Going to be a bit of experimenting to adjust I think. Everything I read seems to give good reviews.

Hi I have just started Tresiba and trying to get the dose right.Going to see the doctor on Wed so will see if I can have the cartridges. That is if they will prescribe it because I got the first lot at the hospital.What is the price of it compared to Levemir? Thanks
 
I swapped from Lantus to Tresiba 6 months ago. Best decision I made, less painful to inject, and more importantly seems to release more evenly over next 12 hours.

I’m 48 and only diagnosed as a type1 2 years ago, so still learning, but Tresiba has been a great addition. Take 36 units each night.
 
I have been on it for a fortnight so very early days.I am seventy and diagnosed three years ago and still trying to learn.!!Hope it works for me as well so far so good
