Trialing banner ads...

Hi everyone.

This is just to let everyone know we're trialling banner ads on the forum. There is a banner up top (which you can probably see) and once at the bottom.

Please let us know if there are any problems, and what you guys think about it. We're aiming at promoting in-site stuff (basically, other content in Diabetes.co.uk)... let us know what you think!! :?:

I think the bottom one is fine but the top one interferes with the 'clickability of index,user panel and mod panel.

Thanks for your input, Sue.

We've edited the ads now, so the top one doesn't show if you're signed in.

We think it's probably the best way to go about the ads. What do you think? Is that more favourable? :roll:

Yes that's better.Didn't like the clutter at the top! :lol: That means non members will see the adverts until they register ,yes?

Yup - that is right Sue! We'll be adding a link to the chat from the forum very soon, put will probably put it next to the FAQ link just on the User Control Panel, unles anyone can suggest where else we can put it?

I suppose ads would be ok, even if they promoted other diabetic products, it would help to keep this site free!!!

new user atm, not sure why did not join years ago, currently using firefox 3 with adblock plus on extensions, not see any adverts

went over to IE and saw some banner adverts about football, but if it gives money to the site and not too intrusive, why not
