Hi, does anyone on here have trigger finger if so is there a way to get rid of it. I have it in the middle finger of my left hand, had it for a long time. I now have it in a finger on the right hand. It’s quite painful. Any advice?

No advice as such, but I have experience. Apparently what helps is a steroid injection in the hand. I am waiting for an appointment, but in the meanwhile I cope with painkillers.

I've had it on 3 different fingers. On 2 the steroid injection worked immediately, but despite having the 3rd one injected twice it hasn't helped.

I don't have personal experience, but my brother had trigger finger affecting both hands. Via his private medical cover he had successful sugery to release it, followed up by physio and instructions for longer term maintenance exercises.

His surgery was only about a year ago, so too soon to know it is a a long term solution.

I got trigger finger when I was renovating one of the houses I bought, it was a bit of a pain But it eventually went after I finished the house, I spoke to doctor and he was arranging for an op , I moved to Scotland a few months later and it went so no op needed , havent had bother since , even through I’ve done as much work with my hands

Had various problems with my hands, including trigger finger(s). I find when I cut out the junk, inflammation seems to disappear, and these problems are gone.

If you aren't eating anything junky, perhaps you're allergic to something specific you're eating.

If it's available where you are, acupuncture would be worth trying.

I had trigger finger. First time it was treated with surgery, then other fingers treated with steroid injections. Since taking Glucosamine and Chondroitin, I have had no issues. And that’s over many decades. Obviously, I don’t know whether it was the medication that helped or not but one hell of a coincidence if not!
