hi my name is Jodie I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in 1998 at the age of 5; I have been using the insulin pump since may 2011 and I just want to meet other people with type 1. :D

Welcome to the forum Jodie :)

Hi Jodie. I don't have diabetes, but my husband and 2 of my children do.

What pump do you use? My kids are on the Omnipod since May & Aug 2011 and we love our pumps!

Hi Jodie

Another T1 here, slightly longer than yourself, but alas I was a lot older when diagnosed 25 actually... I've been using an insulin pump now for 4 years, started with the Roche Spirit which was upgrade to the Combo 16 months ago the decision I've never regretted at all, enjoying excellent control with it..

Our house is a bit like leggots, as my husband is a fellow T1 diabetic...

Hey :) I'm quite similiar to you - diagnosed with Type 1 when I was 7 in June 2002 - i'm 17 now and will be 18 in September. Any time you want to chat do just send me a PM! I know a grand total of 0 people with diabetes in my life! Would be great to talk to someone.

Take care :)

Sophie

Hello jodie  and welcome from another type 1 (diagnosed aged 31). I'm not on a pump, but just wanted to say hi.

Best wishes RRB

Hi Jodie!

I'm Lucy, diabetic since 1997; aged 8. A couple of years older than you (23). But T1 diabetic for very slightly longer. Haha. I've been through quite a bit of the bad side of diabetes (well, much worse than it normally is).

If you ever want to chat, feel free to PM me. :D I'm very interested in getting a pump. How're you finding yours?
