Type 1 Diabetic coming out of my honeymoon period

Hello all

I've been diagnosed for almost a year now and think I'm coming out of my honeymoon period - getting very high readings and feeling a bit alone with it all so thought I'd join in on the diabetic chat world! I've never been in to any sort of online chat - other than facebook - but having read some of the posts it seems to be a real hub of info - there's nothing better than advice from other diabetics I don't think. Even doctors sometimes just don't seem to get what it's like living with diabetes.

so anyway, there we go and hope maybe my experiences with diabetes can help others too.

Welcome to the forum, any questions feel free to ask and i'm sure someone along the way will answer them. So you think your coming out of your honeymoon period, thats a bit of a rollercoaster, but you'll be fine. I know what you mean about Drs, its a pity they couldn't all be diabetic then they'd know what they where taking about!

can someone kindly put me out of my misery, what is a honeymoon period? does both type 1 and 2 get it?
