Hi Jasmine!
I know exactly how you feel - I was ten when I got my diagnosis & I remember thinking how much it sucked that all my friends could still binge on chocolate & coke and I was stuck with this condition for the rest of my life! Of course, that was before carb counting & multiple injections (when I was diagnosed you got one injection when you got up, and one before you went to bed!) and seriously restricted your diet - basically a social death sentence to a 10 year old! Haha.
The best advice I can give you, and this is from my personal experience - don't ignore it & pretend it's not there. I stupidly did that as a teenager & seriously neglected my diabetes. Now my vision has gone from 20/20 to barely able to see 5ft ahead of me in focus (and now I have to wear glasses/contacts all the time!)
But after nearly 19 years, I can say with absolute faith that it gets easier!

you'll have plenty of rubbish days where you hate it & curse it, but hey, that's all part and parcel!
I'm definitely not 13 anymore, but if you fancy a chat about your diabetes, gimme a message
