I am taking 15 units of biphasic insulin aspart l.P for a single day it's 30 units

So that's a mixed insulin. Is it a 70/30 mix?

If you're taking mixed insulin in fixed doses you should have been given advice on what quantity of grams you should be taking in to balance the insulin. You need to stick to that quantity of carbs in your meals. Have you had this advice from your medical team?

And also it is that my pancreas are producing no or might be very less insulin

I think your weight is probably not increasing because your blood sugar is uncontrolled / too high. You need some advice from your medical team on how many grams of carbs your insulin is supposed to cover and an eating schedule.

I agree with Catapillar. You need a daily meal plan which tells you how many grams of carbohydrate you should have for each meal so that your blood sugar stays in range.

Once your blood sugar is controlled, you should be able to put on weight @brehmen

Hello @brehmen - there are so many good reasons why getting better control is going to help. Can you give me a bit more info, so are you on a basal/ bolus regime and do you carb count for food ? Why have you not been taking your insulin ? What sort of foods do you normally like to eat ?

Thanks J ;)

Hello !!!
Actually I am prescribed by my doctor to take insulin as there is no insulin produced in my pancreas ..... and I mostly don't follow my diet properly as mostly it is tasteless like like to eat Brown rice as it is good in fiber minerals ......but as it is said it has a lot of carbohydrates

Yes, that's what Type 1 diabetes is. It is an auto immune condition where your own body kills off the insulin-producing cells in your pancreas. That's why we need to inject insulin.

If you're able to buy it, the book Think Like A Pancreas is excellent for Type 1s

Could anyone help me with a proper diet plan for type 1diabetes?

@brehmen Ypu need to speak to your doctor to find out how much carbohydrate you should have at each meal.

Every person with Type 1 will take different amounts of insulin.

You take 30 units of mixed insulin. Your doctor should be able to help you and tell you how many grams of carbs you should have for each meal. We cannot guess this amount. Only a doctor familiar with your medical history and test results can help you with a diet plan.

Good :)

Your meal plan might include snacks too so that your blood sugar doesn't drop too low between meals. Once you know how many grams of carbs you should have at each meal/snack, you'll find your blood sugars should be better :)

I see above you said that sometimes you don't take your insulin. This isn't a good idea as its really important to keep your blood sugar in range as much as possible. This will help keep you healthy :)

Fasting levels of 360 are very bad for your body. You need to talk to your doctor about getting this under control.

You may also want to talk to your doctor about changing to a basal/bolus regime. This means you need 2 different types of insulin (short- and long-acting). The advantage is that you can be more flexible and when and how much you eat, provided that you are ready to learn a lot about counting carbs, correcting your sugar levels and so on.

Well, yes. You're 2 years into a type 1 diagnosis, it's more likely than not that your pancreas isn't producing any insulin. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease where your immune system kills off the insulin producing beta cells in the pancreas.

If you don't understand what type 1 is I would second the recommendation to read think like a pancreas, it explains what type 1 is and how to manage it.
