Do you mean count your carbs and adjust your insulin to match?

Or do you mean stick to a certain level of carbs each day?

Stick to certain amount each day

That's unusual. What amount of carbs per day are you aiming for?

I don't really understand how giving you a carb goal with, apparently, no guidance on how to carb count, is supposed to help your stress or emotions.

Heya @Bassiette - it's true stress can elevate your bg levels but your DSN should be working with you to establish your carb ratios.

Bearing in mind these can change throughout the day too, there is no set rule for this, it's down to each individual to establish their own ratios under the guidance of their healthcare team.

Stick to certain amount each day

You will need to be able to carb count and adjust your meal insulin to match the carbs you eat. That's really important.

How many carbs to have each day depends on the individual, person. Type 1s here eat varying amounts of carbs.

Here's a recent thread showing this, but there are also other threads if you search:

It's best to spread your carbs over the whole day rather than have a big amount at one meal. Your diabetes nurse should help you. Do you have a dietician you can see?
