Type 1 Item On Today Programme

The Today programme on Radio 4 has an item on type 1 diabetes at about 6.45. it is a discussion with a doctor and a type 1 patient who was found to have some functioning pancreas cells which have been giving some protection against complications. Sorry I'm a bit vague but I found it interesting.
 
Hi @dbr10 That sounds interesting, my radio alarm is set to the Today programme and wakes me at 6.30, sadly I missed this though so will tune in on iplayer and listen again.

I thought it was quite interesting. Sorry about the vagueness. I missed the start. Basically a type one of 40 years I think, thought all her beta cells were destroyed, turns out to still have fifty per cent function. I did do a quick Google but couldn't find a linked story.
