Has anyone had the "okay" from their GP to take Mounjaro as a Type 1?
I am happy to pay privately, but I understand a letter is sent to your GP to ensure you have no medical contradictions.
I'm aware of some Type 1's in the US are successfully taking it alongside insulin... I really want to give it a go.

Isn’t that a tad bit dangerous?

Honestly, when I first read it I thought it was illegal so I asked but I also feel it’s a tiny bit bad even if it’s not illegal
 
It’s also prescribed by the NHS for weight loss, the medication itself isn’t dangerous & it’s even difficult to get it prescribed privately, you are asked a lot of questions & they contact your GP. But like any other drug that’s in demand you have to be careful eho you get it from, buying from an disreputable or unregulated source is where the danger lies as you aren’t 100% sure what you are buying is the medication you think it is
