hi im new to this site so hi to everyone.... im still not sure if i am a type 1 or type 2 no one can tell me.... i am fully dependant on insulin,,, anyway... i have this awful cold... but i think it is flu.. ache all over ... headache.. pains in my chest... runny nose... etc... so my question is.. does anyone know the safest way to help with these symtons...without really affecting my sugar level....

Im not sure if you can do anything about your levels when you are unwell. my reading are usually very high and i cant do much about this. insulin doesnt help Just treat your cold as usual and drink a lot of water.
I have flu at the moment. Had to go to the doctor yesterday as I felt so unwell. He told me not to bother with testing while I am ill as he said you BG will be high and that will cause you stress. He said lots of fluid and to try to eat if I could. I also have a chest infection so he gave me some antibiotics for that. He suggested paracetemol or ibuprofen preferably the capsule type ones as they do not have a sugary coating. He said rest was essential. I do hope that you will feel better soon.
