It's only good for flippers and goggles out there. Hope everyone is dry and warm. I'm off to Australia tomorrow. I have my extra medical supplies my hand luggage (thank you for suggesting this), and travel insurance (thanks again for suggesting Money supermarket), a print out of my prescriptions, frio bags, a letter from my specialist etc, etc, etc. What a palaver. I'm still wistfully looking at the dress I want to wear to the wedding but I no longer fit into. Alas, it's staying at home. I'm going to have a set an alarm for my basal over my thirty-hour flight. I had a friend suggest that sounded relaxing. She definitely hasn't done such a flight before. I haven't on insulin. I think it's time to start watching the Qantas 'I still call Australia home' advertisements.
@Mel d CP, show me a person who doesn’t want to get the neenaw going and I’ll be looking at a sad, sad blighter.
She’s not sounding like she’s going to be a helpful paramedic. It sort of involves people...Morning! Just waiting for my car share so thought I’d catch up a little. We’re doing basic life support on children and babies today, which I’ve not done in detail before. Hoping it’s relatively straightforward and that the course drama queen doesn’t make a spectacle of herself by flouncing out and crying because it’s group work. Again.
Just go for it @Robinredbreast! Himindoors gets dangerous reactions near sheer drops, wants to throw himself off; can’t say it’s made driving in parts of Greece easy. But. He spent a few happy summers learning to glide at a local club. He loved it. Younger daughter went up with the instructor too a couple of times.Totally agree with you FG,
I have steered a boat and I want to do indoor skydiving and go up in a small plane and fly it. My daughters boyfriend is learning to fly( he is Spitfire mad) and he says I should go for it ( I am so scared of heights) as I will love it.
It was cost a couple of hundred I think, but I can't use it when I'm gone, so I want to really push myself to do other things.
I'll have to keep trying @slip@Robinredbreast I'll plus one for trying gliding - you can do a taster session quite cheaply - I loved it, did it with a group of work colleagues and I was the only one that the instructor allowed to land the aircraft - it was only afterwards we were discussing our flights and the guys said they thought I had the smoothest landing.........errrr that was me! (all those hours spent playing Fighter Pilot on the ZX Spectrum must have paid off!)
@SueJB i'm not going to take the bait on the duck joke...............BTW it's slightly cold out today so wear something warm when you're out and about, it may be sunny but theres no warmth in it!
BGs have been good
Turns out to be an infection after all!@Antje77 Huh. An infection sounds very weird. But hopefully you are better soon!
