OK, last one from me for tonight
Renault, known as Ren passed his MOT, had to have some sort of tape over the headlights to make it pass its MOT and be a safe car to drive here.....remember he's a leftie
Hope all's gone well for everyone today and tomorrow is dry
:)

It's only good for flippers and goggles out there. Hope everyone is dry and warm. I'm off to Australia tomorrow. I have my extra medical supplies my hand luggage (thank you for suggesting this), and travel insurance (thanks again for suggesting Money supermarket), a print out of my prescriptions, frio bags, a letter from my specialist etc, etc, etc. What a palaver. I'm still wistfully looking at the dress I want to wear to the wedding but I no longer fit into. Alas, it's staying at home. I'm going to have a set an alarm for my basal over my thirty-hour flight. I had a friend suggest that sounded relaxing. She definitely hasn't done such a flight before. I haven't on insulin. I think it's time to start watching the Qantas 'I still call Australia home' advertisements.

The journey aside it must be lovely to have a visit back. Have a lovely time.

Morning! Just waiting for my car share so thought I’d catch up a little. We’re doing basic life support on children and babies today, which I’ve not done in detail before. Hoping it’s relatively straightforward and that the course drama queen doesn’t make a spectacle of herself by flouncing out and crying because it’s group work. Again.

Good morning all, up bright and early and weather is looking good, even though I will be inside all day.
School run soon, then I have a makaton course and then the driver will pick me up from there and onto school run again.
Awoke on a 3.4 this morning, so I had some grapes and a sit down and it's slowly going up.
Happy Wednesday everyone and whatever you're doing, have a great day:)

edited to add, as the weather is going to be nice, I will get dropped off back home and then walk to venue :)

@Mel d CP, show me a person who doesn’t want to get the neenaw going and I’ll be looking at a sad, sad blighter.

Totally agree with you FG,
I have steered a boat and I want to do indoor skydiving and go up in a small plane and fly it. My daughters boyfriend is learning to fly( he is Spitfire mad) and he says I should go for it ( I am so scared of heights) as I will love it.
It was cost a couple of hundred I think, but I can't use it when I'm gone, so I want to really push myself to do other things.

She’s not sounding like she’s going to be a helpful paramedic. It sort of involves people...

Morning all,
Yep sun's peeping through so looking forward to doing some outside stuff
We're sitting here waiting for the guy to come to give us a quote for a loft conversion. He said 7.30. Not impressed and neither is Mr B as he got up early.
Happy BG, need a new badge. I am 4

I just travelled from Perth to South Africa - got frisked twice to avoid the xray machines for the pump, got no sleep whatsoever, but sugars remained quite good (left them a little higher than normal) despite breaking a low carb diet and no hypos which was my main concern.

Just go for it @Robinredbreast! Himindoors gets dangerous reactions near sheer drops, wants to throw himself off; can’t say it’s made driving in parts of Greece easy. But. He spent a few happy summers learning to glide at a local club. He loved it. Younger daughter went up with the instructor too a couple of times.

Happy sunny morning everyone. Back to the dentist after lunch then off to try on the skirt I saw yesterday. We three older biddies noticed there’s been a revival of the styles we wore in our early twenties. Hope it’s not too much of a shock when I look in the mirror and realise I’ve crammed half a century’s age and experience since then into a little bit of swishing viscose.

@Robinredbreast I'll plus one for trying gliding - you can do a taster session quite cheaply - I loved it, did it with a group of work colleagues and I was the only one that the instructor allowed to land the aircraft - it was only afterwards we were discussing our flights and the guys said they thought I had the smoothest landing.........errrr that was me! (all those hours spent playing Fighter Pilot on the ZX Spectrum must have paid off!)

@SueJB i'm not going to take the bait on the duck joke...............BTW it's slightly cold out today so wear something warm when you're out and about, it may be sunny but theres no warmth in it!

BGs have been good

@Antje77 Huh. An infection sounds very weird. But hopefully you are better soon!
Turns out to be an infection after all!
Had a phone call with the GP, as the pain in my wrist had gotten worse again, and he explained more and told me I very likely have erysipelas.
So I started my antibiotics for real this time, but 3 times a day instead of 4, and only for 7 days instead of the original 10.
I guess I'm lucky I don't feel ill or have a fever, but it hurts quite bad.

Hello friends

Ya girl feeling meh meh so I'm trying to accept that I need to go to training tomorrow but at the same time, I don't want to leak everywhere. :( My period self is quite mean - does it really take 8 hours to train staff to know about health and safety and do an induction tomorrow? There is no mention of lunch or food or break, so I texted the manager to ask. Diabetes is behaving 7.8 this morning and my bf finally has an appointment to see someone from ENT, so we both have appointments on Friday. ;) I also don't have any sensors for the next week as well, so that should be fun at work.

Thanks @Fairygodmother and @slip I will talk about gliding with T, my daughters boyfriend and find out what he thinks.
I drove a car around a car park a couple of months ago, it was interesting, but I am not going to learn to drive, tbh I just can't afford it also, too many idiots on the road.
Problem is daughter keeps saying' why are you doing all this stuff now'? she gets a little defensive/touchy because she thinks I am thinking that I haven't got a lot of time left !!

It's the things we don't do that we regret and if I don't like it, at least I have given it a go, plus my dear ole dad was a paratrooper.

My makaton course was really interesting today and we all received a little certificate. I don't need to use it on the run I am on, but I'm sure it will be beneficial in the future and I enjoyed it too :)
