Goodluck juicy
Have a fabulous birthday and glad you enjoyed your cakeThanks Karen
It's my birthday today too so just had my annual review where I told the nurse that afterwards I was off to buy cake, she said that was ok but I couldn't eat it, so.... reminded her that I could pre-bolus by 20 minutes to counter the sugar effect and it would be no problem (never missing an opportunity to re-educate where I can) have eaten my cake now and it was lovely
ive recently changed to fiasp from apidra and find the fiasp much faster i inject just as im about to eat if im having a particular fatty meal il do half b4 and half after eating usually works out fine but now and again its like its not working at all but very rarelyCan I answer as a Fiasp user @Knikki? It's still insulin aspart it's just fortified with a vitamin to be a fastercerealbreadbolus.
OK Question for those using Nova Rapid
How much do you have to inject to drop 1 mmol?
Also how long does it take for it take effect?
And before you say anything I know that everyone is differnet, I am just interested.
Why?
Well at 07:25 was 9.9 going up in goes 3 units
08:12 10.9 level did nothing
9:55 14.9 going up. Now OK I over did things, as usual, and dumped 10 units in me
Now it is 12:38 and running at 2.6 and yep I have eaten and not injected, just waiting to go back up.
I supoose looking at this I should work it out.........
Sometimes I really do like being a diabetic, it makes the day interesting (note: this is sarcasm, look it up)
