You've only had a week of not so good blood sugars. In the scheme of things that isn't much. It's annoying when you have a run of good sugars and then it stops, but those good blood sugars are banked in the body's cell memory, and seeing as you've done it once you can do it again.

Good morning! I used Tresiba for one night and it was awful! Bring Lantus back!!!

One night for Tresiba isn’t very long to give this a go, the profile lasts 36 hours and when you first start your Dsn would typically start you in a lower dose as you have basal already in your system so the idea is to gradually build up your dose, it took me around 3 weeks to get adjusted with tresiba but this was the best basal I used when I was in multiple daily injections

Day 2 Tresiba waking at 8.9 having dropped from 10.9 at 5am, 3u bolus and its dropping more quickly than normal so am eating non scientific porridge

So far so good and no regrets with the change yet

Another sunny day here, semi fixed car with a new ladder rack on its roof sat waiting for me to start catching my work up and my young uns penultimate day at junior school

Morning all, went to bed last night, on a 6.9 at 12.35am, in the bathroom vomiting, don't know why, I had a chilli beef soup last night which my friend brought for me,so will have to scrutinintize the ingredients thoroughly! Sitting quietly on the sofa with a cuppa.

@Robinredbreast Maybe your not fully recovered from your hypo of the the other week, take it easy have a nice cup of tea and put your feet up.

@CranberryIce Having a similar issue at the moment bloods running all over the place no real idea why, I'm sure you'll crack it soon.

Things OK over here in my world running mid 7's at the moment which is OK still experimenting with Lantus amounts not quite got it sussed.

When I was discharged from hospital I was given a Tresiba pen, but no prescription for repeats, so I rang my surgery yesterday afternoon, told receptionist about it and she said the duty doctor (which is actually my doctor, never met them though) would call me back, he didn't, but I did have two calls, so he probably called when the line was busy, anyhow, I will call again this morning, as I must get this sorted out.
Just to add I'm sure my GP would of had my discharge papers sent to him, which does have all the medication on it, including Tresiba.

7.3 at 5.30 which I'm pleased/relieved with as I was high last night and took insulin before bed which I still don't like doing.
It was my own weak minded fault as I over indulged at evening meal time........

Have a top day everyone

Tony

Hi all, @Robinredbreast hope you feel better today, and @CranberryIce I know that feeling! It makes me wonder: I haven't seen much mention on here of injection sites or, more accurately, lipohypertrophy. My practise DSN arranged for me to see the county diabetes nurse consultant as I was, even with Libre, struggling to get straighter lines and a lower a1c (vital here in Somerset if you want a Libre on prescription - have to be below the magic 58 to "show you're motivated" I'm still not, and my view on this is unprintable). She examines my injection sites and found a significant area of lipohypertrophy (despite the fact that I do rotate sites regularly) and magically when I avoid it I get much better, more consistent results. Maybe you all ch eck for thisalready?

I telephoned my surgery, and as it is not 'urgent' regarding having just one Tresiba pen, I now have a telephone call from the duty dr next Tuesday, the 24th ! I am fuming, they haven't received my letter to Gp informing him of the change in Insulin, nor my discharge paper's from the hospital!! I am ringing the diabetes nurse at the hospital right now.
