Don't you ever wonder what is the point GRRRRRRRRR
Do the dsns not realise that the strips are nutriitious and thus should not be restricted !!Can I suggest ringing back a few times! I always find it's worth mithering them when you need stuff doing as I usually find the telephone handlers to be a bit complacentif they're not tut tutting at your blood strip usage
Good luck and I hope you get sorted
The Novorapid limps along a bit, doesn't it ?Forgot to add, brekkie this morning was 2 poached eggs 2 slices of warburton seeded bread at 11.9 g per slice, so about 24 g of carbs
I am on a silly ratio of 1 unit if insulin to 4 g of carbs, so 6 units of Novo rapid at 7am By 10.30 sitting here with a BG of 11.1. and yet at 7 am it was 5.6
Don't you ever wonder what is the point GRRRRRRRRR
"Climb every mountain >>>. it is a bummer sometimes is it not ?Urgh! 15.6 before dinner so yet another correction dose with dinner. So mush for my post this morning WINNER!!!!!
My etch-a-sketch looks like the Alps today. Ah well onwards and downwards (hopefully) with this correction dose
Yeah, the spray from the reality boat jolts one awake sometimes !!Doing that most days Kevas well as trying to stay afloat on the reality boat

Frustrating ain't the half of it ! A clockwork. We could be leaders in the climate change debate, once we could put our diabetes on auto control ( yeah ! Right!).My blood sugars do that. They follow a pattern, for a few weeks, as regular as anything, and then suddenly change, just at the point where I have worked out the pattern, and how to deal with it.
I think we must become experts at adapting to change.
Yeah, the modern world, we need an alarm to help us remember each dose, carbs, erg of energy expended. No wonder we get tired !!Especially when you forget to bolus with breakfast and come on here stating great start today with a 4.3 and a straight line.....that straight line is still straight BUT straight upit WILL come down.....trust me it will....I have half a pen of Fiasp and am not scared to use it lol
Bless you
Hypos are terrible things wishing you respite from them Alison and hope tweaking your insulin works for you
I have a Timesulin on the top of my pen which tells me when I last took the lid off. I check it VERY regular but not this morning....Yeah, the modern world, we need a bl...dy alarm to help us remember each dose, carbs, erg of energy expended. No wonder we get tired !!
Give me land, lots of land and an insulin pump as well !!! Hope it gets better quick and please stay moderate !!Big hugs

Human error - part of life - try to find something to blame like the weather !!I have a Timesulin on the top of my pen which tells me when I last took the lid off. I check it VERY regular but not this morning....
Happy belated birthday @Juicyj.I think the party was over by 10pm.. fresh as a daisy here and only one hypo so far this morning, completely my fault as I pre-bolused for toast and forgot to eat
If do not already, suggest the doctor or nurse use dictation software, dictate the letter sign it and post it - I know discharge summaries are a pain for doctors and nurses (they have told me often enough) but you would think the health authorities in which ever country/countries/states would try to enable more efficient communications!!I telephoned my surgery, and as it is not 'urgent' regarding having just one Tesiba pen, I now have a telephone call from the duty dr next Tuesday, the 24th ! I am fuming, they haven't received my letter to Gp informing him of the change in Insulin, nor my discharge paper's from the hospital!! I am ringing the diabetes nurse at the hospital right now.
Hi @Knikki, I think insulin adjustment is always a work in progress. And good work on the 7's@Robinredbreast Maybe your not fully recovered from your hypo of the the other week, take it easy have a nice cup of tea and put your feet up.
@CranberryIce Having a similar issue at the moment bloods running all over the place no real idea why, I'm sure you'll crack it soon.
Things OK over here in my world running mid 7's at the moment which is OK still experimenting with Lantus amounts not quite got it sussed.

Not a bad idea.
However, a sample of one night is not enough for statistical analysis. I suggest you don't restrict yourself to one night of rum and coke. Perhaps you should try some on another night over the weekend.
You can ring 111 for an emergency prescription. Lay it on a bit thick and say you don't have any at all.
Well if you need any, give us a shout xBut it wasn't an 'emergency' and no one had any knowledge of the change to Tresiba, so until they do...........!
