Easy to say, but try to relax.
 
"Interesting" conversation today with a colleague regarding Transit vans & a diabetic cycling team.. (He'd read about?)
Neither of which he's ever driven let alone owned, or is... Though he is a keen cyclist.
He's never worn a monitor either. Lol, shall I go on...?

I had a bit of a lecture about "pushing my diabetes to the limits." This guy was starting to clearly do that...

"How often do you test a day with the jab?" He enquired. "8 to 10 times a day.."
"Ah well they had these monitors & gadgets reading them on the handle bars.."

"Similar to this?" Flashing the Libre, Yep I use my phone as a scanner..
I didn't catch the rest of the waffle I was starting to plateau..

"Please stop mate. You wouldn't want me telling you intimate carnal knowledge of yer wife?"

But he wouldn't..

But I've learned so much now...
If it wasn't for these guys pushing the pedals I wouldn't have the tech I wear to stop me feeling woozy when standing up & needing more insulin..!

By all accounts, he is a keen cyclist.. & I'm a van driver.. I don't know his wife. But I pity her..
 
@Justin04 I rarely ever completely suspend as I read somewhere that a reduction works better to help keep the after spike in check better.. And that does seem to work better for me. But preplanned exercise works the best with me reducing my basal 50% for 30-60 minutes before I start and I usually set it for 2 hours for an hour of snorkeling, I also generally like to start at a little higher of my normal number.

Unplanned exercise is for as long as I can without dropping too low! Or try to reduce my insulin for a meal and exercise after. Unless I want to take hypo treatments to keep going!

After 8 hours in A&E and then Majors area, the eye specialist team decided my case wasn't deemed an emergency after reviewing the triage report, I have had pain in my eye tonight, but it subsided, so it's a waiting game now, I wasn't happy today and told them so, I got a bit upset after waiting so long, on my own, anxious and so frustrating too, I did then get a nice cup of tea So I was sent home at 1.35 pm and I now have an appointment on Thursday at 3.45pm, which will be tight, so hoping the driver will be able to drop me off at the hospital.

To see the specialist eye team, I had to wait, because they view the that days ( or the day before) triage reports after 11 am and then around 3pm, so by the time they got round to mine, it was the afternoon, quite frustrating for me and very tiring too.
I managed to get a gluten free sandwich and then ate that and drank tea in the hospital restaurant.
 

All very frustrating, but at least you managed to find something suitable. The GF element just adds an extra potential frustration.

Fingers crossed for Thursday.
