Thanks your your response and thoughts.
Unfortunately, my randomness is all the time - it could be before dinner, it could be at the gym (when your wandering filament makes sense), it could be at my desk at work, it could be in the middle of the night.
I have tried multiple scans in 10 - 20 minutes and they are all in the same ballpark as each other but playing a different game to finger pricks.
Good to see you, @BrixtonType1 & @wildtoast
I’m late to the party today, may have something to do with the bottle of wine I quaffed last night...a bottle of dry rosé doesn’t affect my levels at all, I reckon the alcohol balances the carbs perfectly over the course of the evening, so I don’t inject or take extra snacks for it. Spirits get a bit messy and I can guarantee a morning hypo if I get a bit enthusiastic on the rum.
Been out and about getting a puncture repaired (2” nail) and a new collar, tag etc for one of our cats. B*ll*cks (big, old, idiot black tom) came home last night wearing a silver glittery collar - someone has taken off his admittedly scruffy black leather one, but put the massive 1” bell he wears on the new one, but not his name tag. So we think someone is trying to appropriate him. So he is now sporting a bright red studded leather collar with a “do not feed” tag, much more suitable for a biker’s cat
MelBot T1000 update: Etch-a-Sketch has me 90% SIG, (I adore Captain Scarlet, @Knikki ) for yesterday, and 93% so far today, I absolutely love this pump thing. It’s doing exactly the job I got it for - to squash the dawn phenomenon and deal with my monthly insulin resistance.
Talking (or writing?) of Libre, I've been starting to wonder if I have been doing anything wrong.
I trialled the Libre about 18 months ago, found it inaccurate in an unpredictable way so gave up with it.
I then tried the DexCom G4 (it links with my pump) which was a little more accurate but I found abdominal exercises reduced its lifespan so gave up with that.
Fast forward to this thread where lots of you guys (who seem to know what you are talking about so have gained my respect) use the Libre so I decided to try again.
My plan is not to use it to correct but just to spot trends and tweak my basal.
But again, it is unpredictably inaccurate compared to finger pricks. My finger says 5.6 but Libre says 9.2 and going up, finger says 4.9 and Libre says 2.9 (and level), etc.
I have positioned it on the back of my left upper arm. It doesn't (yet) irritate.
I have been using it for 9 days during which it has got neither more nor less accurate.
I am using the LibreLink app.
I know the Libre is about 15 minutes behind the finger (so to say) but when I am not eating or exercising, I don't expect my BG to change that quickly ... and not in the opposite direction to the arrow.
Dear trusted, respected regular Libre users, is there anything I have done wrong which is causing these regular weird readings?
I thought that first time but have the same experience with three Libre and four Dexcom which suggests it’s me not the sensors.
Morning, got up this morning on a 2.7I had no idea, even though last night, before bed, it was a wonderful 6.8 Cooking a roast chicken later and I made jelly and fruit last night, first time in ages I have had a proper roast dinner not sure what the day will bring, but sitting here quietly waiting ( with a cup of tea) for a higher number. Happy Sunday to you all
ps daughter said last night rain is forecast today
