Do you apply it 12-24 hours before activating? A “pre-soak” minimises that inaccurate 24...
Hang in there, it is like driving a new car, it takes time for the rattles to settle and idiosyncrasies to become known.Morning campers.
Well I am still here
Stuck 17.5 (carts fit Nova pens) in last night of Tresiba, Degludec or 'Duloc' as it is getting called.
Early part of the night all OK and then it went steadily up when it set one of the High alarms off at 5am
In with 5 of Aspisdtra, breakfast with IOB on board add some more insulin in and I'm sat here with another High alarm going off. :***: so in goes more insulin.
Its going to be an 'interesting' week.
Hi @Diakat, Maybe your mobile phone saved your hip joint. RICE ( Rest Ice, Compression and Elevation) is the usual mantra, for you in this case an exercise in ingenuity. You are excused from washing up, drying and all household duties !!Slipped downstairs last night. Broken phone (in pocket) and one buttock looks a lot more Kardashian than the other.
I shall not enquire about how every single crumb is captured and eaten !! Just glad you have obtained your money's and carbs worth.
Note every victory. You may be subject to a count back some day !!Feeling smugit won’t last, so just had to share. View attachment 28297
Blood draw = no washing up and cooking for that day.Fingers crossed for you @kev-w and @Knikki
Smooth night here - I’m having a late evening rise afte dinner, but getting back into range at 1-2am - not sure if it’s protein or if I need to adjust my evening basal rate. Will try a meal without fish tonight and see what happens.
Just off to the surgery to get blood drawn for an HbA1c
? odd socks ? If so that is sure to attract a BSL penalty !!I know exactly why that is........you have different colour socks on today
Do dietitians over there have to right to change your insulin ?? Only doctors and nurses educators here in Oz can do that !!I had a real easy change over on mine. My dietitian told me to cut my basal by 10%. Was on 22 units of Lantus before. After 3-4 weeks of messing around with it I am now on 14 units of Tresiba. Most of the time it is spot on BUT every now again, mainly on days ending in "Y" it is like I have only injecting half the dose! BUT we are all aware of that with T1D
Let us all hope for more wide spread use of the HBA1C test using finger-prick blood. ? What is next, ? Tears or saliva ??Clearly I’m a stone today. Nurse couldn’t get any blood out of my usual arm despite some serious digging around so had to use my other one that I save for emergencies. I suspect I was pretty dehydrated, first time I’ve had an issue. I wonder if gloopy blood will affect my HbA1c score?
