Diabetes is a spelling test !!Morning my lovelies. Highs and lows all round, people with lancreases just have no idea how it is to live with this **** condition, even if they live with us and see the ups and downs, they don’t know what it FEELS like.
Woke to my high alarm early morning and corrected, in the high fours/low fives now. Going to adjust my basal rate for tonight now I have reliable data for a rise at that time. Relatively quiet day planned today, doing some design work for a bangle commission.
@Cumberland - oh no, are you ok lovely?
Spent the night in A&E
Absolutely disgraceful
I’ll say nowt more but complaints been phoned in to PALS and I have asked for feedback from A&E Matron
So.. situation normal. Good to hear !!I know, I know, flat line, two words, ok? My libre screen’s small and I’ve not got any of the superdooper tech to transfer it to a bigger screen so it looked flat as a pre-Galileo world this morning. And yes, I’m still breathing, walking, talking, getting cross with politicians, hiding from the naughty world, being a nuisance et al.
Dry wine is an oxymoron. But the French call it Chablis to avoid confusion !!!Morning all! The final glass of wine wasn’t as dry as I’d expected so I spent the night in double figures. No alarm because I’d turned the volume on my phone too low... corrected and am now in the low fours, so that went well. Not. Pottering around Marlborough today...
Sometimes the body is like a gearbox without syncho !!It’s exasperating. Your brain can do all the maths perfectly but your body just doesn’t pay attention. Mine appears to be staring out of the window this weekend, it’s all over the place...
I blame dreams which can be stressful, horrific, uplifting or happy-making. We seldom remember them but our body, teeth and BSL reflect their effect.Just been asking my husband the very same thing. Why a raise between 12 and 4am last night requiring a correction? Had not had any insulin, food or drink after 2pm. Very similar to most days. Sometimes stay straight as a die on the Libre and sometimes have a hypo! There is no accounting for it. I eat pretty low carb and my meals are very consistent. My activity levels are also pretty consistent. This whole condition has a mind of its own. And let’s face it it often has little to do with what you eat.
Makes you want to go away and stuff your face with delicious carbs.
What ! Try 20 and I might hear it over here in Australia !!You mean, turn the volume up to 11?
? Save it for Guy Fawkes night. Just not near the Parliament !Morning y'alla waking 10.5 for me tho I had 1u about 4am as I was up at 14, my basal's tweaked for exercise and I've only been to the gym once this week so I guess I was pre-warned
Another day emptying the sheds and garage, downside is with the sun being out I can't have a little bonfire.
Enjoy the weather!

Shoulda, woulda, coulda - a diabetic's mantra. And belly bum drawers, now the shocker’s leaped up to 9 - should’ve just waited, shouldn’t have eaten that poor little jelly baby. Serve me right if I grew a Bluebeard.

Oh @Cumberland, I’m sorry you’ve had such a tough time - your post is lucid - phew - hope what took you there is getting sorted. And that the night in a hospital hasn’t made it, and your bs, worse! Let us know how you are now, please.
