Just been asking my husband the very same thing. Why a raise between 12 and 4am last night requiring a correction? Had not had any insulin, food or drink after 2pm. Very similar to most days. Sometimes stay straight as a die on the Libre and sometimes have a hypo! There is no accounting for it. I eat pretty low carb and my meals are very consistent. My activity levels are also pretty consistent. This whole condition has a mind of its own. And let’s face it it often has little to do with what you eat.
Makes you want to go away and stuff your face with delicious carbs.
It’s exasperating. Your brain can do all the maths perfectly but your body just doesn’t pay attention. Mine appears to be staring out of the window this weekend, it’s all over the place...

Not too bad.. I spent 16 years on the Euro circuit on the NWOBHM scene. & got to see some of the aforementioned bands (Sabbath, Saxon that sort of thing for gratis..) ;)

I carry a set of Proguard ear defenders in a little fob on my car keys.. Which has helped. lol

Talking of which. @smc4761 , I had a couple of scoops of the pink gin last night after a session thrashing out metalled up Lady Gaga Christina Perri & Adele stuff.. (Don't ask? Twas a bit of a larf..) Basal @ 11.30, testing at a sassy 10.4mmol.
A good night's sleep after i finally got to bed,waking at 10am with a 7. :)

I will forgive you for the music:). For the past 2 weeks or so I have had probably a largish pink G&T with diet tonic, and each morning I woke up in double figures. Could not think why, it was only when I checked My Fitness Pal that I realised there were 10g of carbs per 25 ml. I was probably doing 50-75 ml ooops. just have to adjust if I have any pink gin and I have 2 bottles of the stuff to go though

Good evening all.
Nice to see that everyone appears to be in good spirits.
Normalish diabetic day has yet again passed me by, loving all the current DIY stuff at the moment. It’s giving me a break from stress of house moving that seems a distant memory now and also it’s taking precedence over the D.
Been stuck below 4.1 for the last hour or so, Dexcom never gives up reminding me:):).
I’ve treated the “hypo” but my body is taking any source of energy it can at the moment. As quick as I feed myself my body uses up the food.
It’s all down to the 8 hour debate, arguments and triumph related to some very stubborn conifers at the bottom of the garden.
I WILL NOT let a bl**dy tree beat me:mad::mad:.
Off for an early night after my week long holiday from work. Only 4 days and it’ll be weekend and DIY time again. Have to admit I’m enjoying it.;)
Good night and not to many sweet dreams.

Sitting here typing, somehow, with a 2.6 ooooops, Been lowish most of night. So cup of coffee 4 sugars and a couple of choccy digestive should do the trick

Normally when i am that low I go into full panic mode, 10 sugars, 2 mars bars and any other sweet things i can find, but seem to be realatively calm about it all.

Cheeky wee couple of days off, so off to do some walking/birdwatching for these 2 days off

Have a good night friends

Hypos all round, it seems. Currently nursing a 3.2, been bouncing off the floor for a few hours now. Pump switched off, dextrose eaten, just waiting for it to come up. I blame the bottle and a half of wine I quaffed last night, looks like I over corrected the sweet wine high early doors this morning, and correctly dosing for my meals today have just been too much. I might have some chocklit.

In other news, husband bought me some socks with cyborgs on :borg:

Yesterday was just one of those days.
Low all day no matter what I did.
I ate a skip full of food and still went to bed eating a chocolate bar and still 4.1 this morning!!

Another day another dollar.........have a top Monday

Tony

Good morning y'all and happy Monday :) I woke to a 10.5 so am sulking a little and need to start eating my tea earlier but I'll get there, the house clearance is coming on slowly but surely, the skip's 2/3rds full and I give thanks to the scrap metal collectors as twice now as I've been piling metal parts at the end of the drive they've swooped :)

Morning that was a sort of fun weekend.

Sunday morning alarm goes if with a High go down stairs shove 4 of Ashpidistra in and the rest of the night/morning is fine, it trundles along at an acceptable numbers.

Same thing last night High alarm goes off down stairs in goes 4 and 3 hours later it is heading South faster than a freight train and decides to sit around the 2.6 mark with the Low alarm going off ~sigh~

Going to be an interesting Monday, while sat here listerning to a Techno Dub Mix :)

Happy Days.

Morning,

Had a night of double figures (despite 3 corrections). I am putting it down to back to work nerves/anxiety.

Woke up in double figures so gave another correction- which clearly proved too much. Still waiting for my sugars to be safe enough for me to drive..... and active insulin still on board ‍♀️

Had lots of issues with night time hypos/waking on lows which did impact me getting to work on time.. really wanted to avoid that this year- not a good start
:(

I am lucky my boss understands to an extent (he has a relative who is type 1) but I guess be will never really understand what I have to go through on a daily basis....

Still waiting for a 5 or above... #lookslikeIwillbelate

Morning peeps, after my silly low of last night, 2.8 and the correction carbs woke up to 15.2 in middle of night, correction dose taken but not really worked as still at 11.4. day off today wu hu, so off walking and birdwatching, probably around 8 mile walk. Libre is on stanby

Need to build up my strength for a trip to the "dark side" tomorrow for my day off. Going to Edinburgh for first time in about 25 years

I’m feeling for you @CranberryIce, it’s so hard trying to be reliable when good/bad bs get in the way. Even worse when people at work don’t really understand the inner state a low creates and start asking all kinds of complex questions. Not surprised you’ve had (probably) stress highs ....... now breathe ........ in the grand sweep of time that’s your life it’s just a little blip; feels like a huge mountain when it’s facing us though.

Spent the night in A&E
Absolutely disgraceful
I’ll say nowt more but complaints been phoned in to PALS and I have asked for feedback from A&E Matron

Another 5.4on waking the climbing yoyo’s kicked in again but just going to let it all settle a bit and see what it does next. Sometimes 0.5’s too much of a correction, sometimes too little, but if I know what route it’s taking up the hill or pimple I might deal with it better than the last two days - or maybe not. Hey ho, it’s a T1 thing.
