Morning.

Last night a glorious 14.8, not sure where that came from, bit of an over correction and waking up at 2.6. Oh we'll never mind, onwards and upwards in some direction :)

Change of sensor tonight, plus the Miaomiao stopped transmitting yesterday, so that came off and manged to reset it. Hopefully can set everything back up with the watch so get any subtle alarms.

Wouldn't be good to be at that point when the registrar is say "do you take......" with an alarm going off to theme tune of Stingray :bag::hilarious:

Reduced my basal last night which I haven't done for years as I've been low in the night.
4.9 before bed last night ands ate a chocolate bar and some pringles and woke on 5.7 which is fine in principal but I need to go to bed without eating the chocolate bar and pringles!
Please don't think I'm complaining I'm just bamboozled as to whats going on!

Have a top Thursday

Tony

Oh yes, you're getting married tomorrow! Congratulations, I'm sure it'll all go very well, but I'll wish you luck anyway.

Just come back to a point when I’m not running around getting stuff done and only glancing here in between.
Good to hear of lovely holiday Karen.
No break from the inscrutable swings for many of us but some great results there too so congratulations to all who’re still here!
And Stingray wedding anthem @Knikki, hilarious!

It’s my birthday today, the last year of my 60s begins, so a few days ahead of cake, vino, and all the indulgence I fancy. Just to give the Novoslow due warning

Many happy returns, I hope your birthday will be very special

So it shouts 'STAND BY FOR ACTION' when you cross your low threshold? I'm pleased to hear I'm not be the only one using amusing sounds for the alarms in xDrip.

All set for tomorrow? Early congrats and hope you both have a great day. :)

Looks like 14 is the magic number here so here goes last night,

Pre dinner BGL = 6.3 have usual dinner (Grilled chicken, sweet potato mash and asparagus) and take the normal amount of insulin and wait 15 mins as usual, this meal never spikes more then a 9 for me.
Check post 1hr and it's 14.8 and sky rocketing and l'm like ***, check with a blood test and it's actually 13.9, put son to bed and come down by and check post 2hrs and it's 5.9 and crashing fast and there's still 4u of insulin left on board confirm with blood test and it's actually 4.8.

Anyway at this point i decide Halo Top ice cream is in order eat some of that and got to bed on a 7.7, wake up this morning and it's a 0.9 so I get my ass down to the kitchen and have a juice.

Currently feeling like ***** and I have a heavy chest workout tonight, not sure what is causing these huge fluctuations and rapid rises and crashes to be honest as nothing has changed,

And thank you, everyone, for the greetings. There was a time in my yoof when I doubted I’d get this far, partly because my father died at the age of 42, not diabetic but still . . . so to be hale and hearty, apart from my belly bum drawers knees, and slightly fading energy levels, is fantastic!
Edited to add crossed fingers in an attempt to evade hubris

Happy Birthday FG!

Had a curry last night, 4.5 before the meal, so didn't take insulin just before meal, had it after I'd finished, forgot the 2nd part of the split dose though until much much later (like bed time!) so 12.3 before bed, corrected and 6.8 this morning. That'll do..........!
