Can I use this sentence for my daughters home work regarding punctuation and the use of semi colons - this is just brill! The only punctuation sensitive sentence I know is about a boy and his uncle (whose called Jack) and a horse.............not an appropriate example :hilarious:

Of course you can, though it’s not perfect! I’d like to meet Jack, the uncle and the horse - I suspect they’re sometime a bit naughty-blue!

Sorry :) Grammar police outburst :p

But aye, tomorrow I'm going to post a pic of my bowl of porridge me thinks, the whole 300ml of it in fact :) I really should start a thread in the diet section showing how carefully chosen complex carbs can work for a T1d, this is a kind of proof the old burn more calories than you consume to lose weight and vice versa rings true, a good time to do it too as I'm looking to gain a couple of kg right now so have upped carbs and insulin to allow this, I was mortified to find myself at 79kg at clinic, losing that extra kg hurt :p

Thanks for the warning kev :p I do not like porridge at all, yuk:yuck: but my dear ole dad did, he called it proper porridge, with salt, never sugar !!o_O

Ew - no thanks.
If I wanted to eat something with the texture of wallpaper paste I'd eat wallpaper paste!
I think porridge is an acquired taste/texture that I have never acquired.

But I'd happily do the type 1 pizza eating initiation ritual (as long as I can eat a home made, thin crust, vegetarian pizza).

Porridge is..... the devils work, same with coconut :yuck::yuck: :p

Good morning friends! 8.46 am in the Antipodes, cloudy, raining and it is shopping and haircut day.
I thought having a haircut would rob me of strength and get me out of the shopping but no such luck with that excuse!
BSLs have been well behaved and the extra 20% basal for 4 hours last time whilst viewing the 2 part of the TV series "The Missing" (brilliant BBC movie making and casting as usual)!! worked out well.
A thought for the day: The silent 'gurgle' of insulin in a syringe is a mimic of nature's song.
And other: One blood sugar level in the hand is better than one in the rafters and the other in the cellar.

Morning peeps hope you all had good BG overnight.

I had a really good day yesterday pretty flat most of day. After evening meal it started to fall and stayed around 4 before finally dropping to 3.1 around 9 pm. Had a couple ginger nuts, coffee with 2 sugar and by 10.45, it was still only 4.9. Mmmmm something not right. Of course during the night, the old etch a sketch looks like north face of the Eiger and had gone to 16.4:arghh::arghh:. Took large correction dose but even 3 hours later only dropped to 13.1

Another day of the joys of type 1

Have a good day y'all
