A bit like finger pricks. One finger always gets the most hits. Stupidly I will prick a finge, think no, that one needs a rest and then prick another instead.
When first diagnosed I was told to pinch and only use my thighs. Was given a card with holes in to place on thighs. Holes had days of week on. Idea was to rotate sites. Was only on 2 injections a day and was using the old syringe type needles.
Nowadays with the smaller needles I inject thighs ( sides and front ), arms, stomach and occasionally calves for bolus.
Basal is always buttocks, ambidextrous so manage very well on both sides. No longer pinch, the needles are far to short nowadays.
Have to admit that when in a rush or injecting sub consciously it’s very easy to have a “go to spot “.

I was told to avoid muscles, hence the need to pinch - if you didn't have enough fat for the needle when you pinched you 'd be injecting into muscle so don't use that site. Was also told that's why not to use arms as it's v easy to get into muscle there. That's changed with much much shorter needles.I was told to pinch, and I'm sure they was classed as 'Intramuscular' injections* with the 12mm needles, must have been muscle as I think subcutaneous is shallower, I use mainly legs, stomach sometimes and if I'm honest find these 4mm needles pain free and they don't bruise much either.
*I'm sure the insulin bottles said 'for intramuscular injection' but can't remember for sure...

Morning pincushions, sieves and colanders, and a happy Friday to all.
I see that the Express, (The Express!), is challenging the Maybot’s words about the Libre - wow.
Recently my overnight bs have been reacting to the carb content of supper. They’re fine until the novoslow’s lost its power and then they drop - on Levemir too, would have expected it with Lantus. New adjustment system to be trialled.
