Hope you feeling better now @Mel dCP . We are different, when I get to that low, its 6 spoonfuls of sugar and a couple of biscuits for me. I will worry about the higher BG later

Morning y'all, a waking 9.6 but the line was flat all night...

Young child has requested a lift to school so I'm going to have to eat with my blood above range, and an extra unit injected whilst whistling an old Boomtown Rats number

@kev-w busy at the Rats comment.

@Mel dCP Hugs matey, hypos that don't respond are a real PITA but sure you'll have given it a good talking too and be sorted now

@Cumberland good luck on the eye thing on Wednesday sure it will be fine are you going to end up like Lee Major's "The Six Million Dollar Man"? (PS any one not know hit that Google button)

Well had an interesting evening, unlike Mel, I went Hyper and must have stuck at least a gallon of insulin in me , fully expecting to drop to some where near where the centre of the earth is , but a Jaffa Cake (the food of Gods) just before bed meant that I sat in the green band all night, which was good and woke on a 6.0. ~nice~

@kev-w good on ya, that's what dads are for

@Knikki just one jaffa? I couldn't have them in the house, I'd be rocketing!

Morning all. Up and working at 6am with a fair Madam at 6.4. Stress?
Bit worried about tomorrow as I've got to have a CT scan, hope I don't have to go into a tube!

@therower portion size is ridiculous sometimes, have you seen some for breakfast cereals? off the top of my head something like cornflakes is 30g per portion which isn't enough to feed a mouse let alone a fully grown man............ummmmm perhaps thats where I'm going wrong! Which also sort of makes me wonder about the usual daily intake guidelines, using published portion sizes you'd need about 20 portions to reach the recommended daily intake

Had a rather interesting weekend, started on friday night with the in-laws eating curry, which I didn't handle very well - different eating habits, different curry house etc etc, so went to bed on a 9.something with 4u on board still, not having a handle on what I had consumed thought best not to add any more insulin although I assumed I would be rising (no sensor on at the mo), woke at 6:30 at 20! corrected and went back to bed, 08:30 get up in the 9s............saturday night I just plain forgot to take my bedtime basal like an idiot, again 4:30 I'm back in the 20s, corrected and 08:30 i'm 2.9! Other than that I've been fairly constant!!!

Hi @helensaramay, as @Mel dCP suggest some time ago maybe it is to do with the socks you are wearing. As good a theory as any!!

As well as being coat-hangers, shoulders to cry on, bagman, get-away from school at the end of the day drivers, mail carriers, purchaser of food, mobile phones and everything else in a child's universe (and that is before filling the car with petrol and checking the tyres) !!

@kitedoc Your going to have to get your end of the multiverse back in sync again, a triple posting?

Best all in
Hi @kniiki, I must be losing the ability to count and yeah, the multiverses take some travelling manoeuvres to transverse.
Stressful day - in round table meeting with lots of health consumers and opposition politicians about a stupid budget cut by the State Minister of Health ( or it is Miser of Health)? which will cause closure of several non-government sexual health clinics in Adelaide. The reasons appear to be ideological (liberals who are squeamish about sexual practices outside their minute comfort zone) but as with all reduction in preventive health services the closures will increase health expenditure as the tertiary services such as hospital cop the aftermath. (we are talking about negative effects on school children, young adults of all genders, and the risk of increase in unwanted pregnancies, preventable infection of mothers, unborn and new born children, fall off in compliance in those being treated for HIV infection, and increase in such infections. It is so dumb of the Government but boy did we have fun with dreaming up a campaign, slogans, protests and rallies and cartoons. Lots of interest from the press too, which is good.
@Mel dCP, you are inspired me to become a radical !! And @Knikki, if our energy flags, it will be cake to the rescue !!

It is a coincidence that several people on pumps have had low BSLs ? Sometimes the only relatively common factor I have noted in the past has been some seasonal shift that influences insulin sensitivity or something that then influences that.
What else, gut flora, hardly likely unless eating the same in the same household? Drinking water ? but again not unless in same household? Could those that post and interact regularly on the site actually come into some type of sync psychologically ? Like you have changing emotional gears similarly and the reduced stress lowers insulin resistance/increases insulin sensitivity.
Well I birthed that brainwave without flying a kite so there must be some other inspiration? Wait on! What about this site??
Spooky !!!
