Night night guys, sleep tight zzzzzzz
Evening perforations.
@Cumberland - sending hugs for Wednesday, you’re a legend and we all love you to bits x
@SueJB - looking over the last month’s records I take an average of 26u (21-29u) basal and 4u (2-7u) bolus a day.
Had the worst hypo I’ve had in months last night - just about to go to bed with no IOB, nothing out of the ordinary food wise, one glass of wine - when I crashed to 2.8 and couldn’t raise it for five hours. Turned the pump off for over two hours, 15g dextrose, and nothing happened. Wouldn’t come up. Managed not to oversugar myself, and peaked at around 6am at 7.1 but it was pretty frustrating. Very thankful for my ketone fuelled brain, which allowed me to think clearly and rationally, even though my body was doing the shaky cold sweat thing. Have spent pretty much the whole day in the low eights, thanks to the insulin resistance I get after a terrible night’s sleep... down to 5.1 now, but ugh. I’m going to bed in a minute!
@kev-w good on ya, that's what dads are forMorning y'all, a waking 9.6 but the line was flat all night...
Young child has requested a lift to school so I'm going to have to eat with my blood above range, and an extra unit injected whilst whistling an old Boomtown Rats number![]()
@Knikki just one jaffa? I couldn't have them in the house, I'd be rocketing!@kev-w busyat the Rats comment.
@Mel dCP Hugs matey, hypos that don't respond are a real PITA but sure you'll have given it a good talking too and be sorted now
@Cumberland good luck on the eye thing on Wednesday sure it will be fine are you going to end up like Lee Major's "The Six Million Dollar Man"?(PS any one not know hit that Google button)
Well had an interesting evening, unlike Mel, I went Hyper and must have stuck at least a gallon of insulin in me, fully expecting to drop to some where near where the centre of the earth is
, but a Jaffa Cake
(the food of Gods) just before bed meant that I sat in the green band all night, which was good and woke on a 6.0. ~nice~

Hi @helensaramay, as @Mel dCP suggest some time ago maybe it is to do with the socks you are wearing. As good a theory as any!!Goooood Morning,
So far today, BGs are behaving. I put it down to the scone for breakfast. Without jam to keep it "healthy".
Although it could be the -20% temporary bolus which seems to be becoming permanent but I am nervous about changing my basal settings because a month ago, I calculated my current settings based on Libre readings. All that has happened since is the weather has got a bit colder. Usually, that means more insulin for me so I don't understand.
On top of that the weekend has shown me some more diabetes inconsistencies: Saturday woke at 4.0 and saw my BG rise with no external assistance, until lunch at midday by which time I had reached 7.3; yesterday, woke at 7.0, after the previous day's rise I decided not to correct and it dropped, all on its own to 2.8 by 11:30. I didn't eat breakfast either day. I had a temporary -20% basal on. Friday evening I had a tough session at the gym, Saturday evening I drank half a bottle of Portuguese red. Both exercise and alcohol affect my morning after BG about the same (usually). Saturday morning I ambled into town (a common activity which rarely affects my BG); Sunday morning I baked bread which meant sitting on the sofa enjoying the smells.
Ho hum. I'll just put it down to teenage moods as I was diagnosed nearly 15 years ago.
My plan for today is to work out whether I need to be in London tomorrow and Wednesday or just Wednesday.
Then hit the climbing wall.
@Mel dCP hope your diabetes is behaving again.
@Cumberland don't blink on Wednesday.
@Knikki don't forget to stock up on Jaffa cakes for Christmas and Brexit.

As well as being coat-hangers, shoulders to cry on, bagman, get-away from school at the end of the day drivers, mail carriers, purchaser of food, mobile phones and everything else in a child's universe (and that is before filling the car with petrol and checking the tyres) !!@kev-w good on ya, that's what dads are for![]()
Hi @kniiki, I must be losing the ability to count and yeah, the multiverses take some travelling manoeuvres to transverse.@kitedoc Your going to have to get your end of the multiverse back in sync again, a triple posting?
Best all in![]()
It is a coincidence that several people on pumps have had low BSLs ? Sometimes the only relatively common factor I have noted in the past has been some seasonal shift that influences insulin sensitivity or something that then influences that.Goooood Morning,
