It is Aldi's Tropical Granola, not sure of the carb content because not at home but even so, its very nice but off the menu now unfortunately.

Oh what a shame! Wonder if it’s all that crystallised delicious tropical fruit?

but sending many wishes to you for something good to arrive. Would the 4 hours be transformed into more if this afternoon’s lot like you?

Hilarious
i cant stand ironing am an as and when girl

I tend to eat half a digestive biscuit and then also feel I have to check again in half an hour or so to see if I need to eat more or correct. I don’t wear socks in bed, odd, coloured or fluffy but the daytime ones have a lasting influence.

And that just about sums things up! Who else but a diabetic would be disciplined enough to eat half a biscuit. Respect!

@helensaramay. I can remember my mum, an ironing fanatic, ironing underpants and socks. WHY?
Was it the done thing back in the day?
My wife enjoys ironing at least twice a year. Me, less so. Don’t mind jeans, hate shirts.
Subsequently I own lots of pairs of jeans, washed then in the ironing basket until the “ ironing day “.
Everything else is stuff that , in my opinion doesn’t need ironing.

**** what am I doing? Chatting about ironing with a lady on a diabetic web site.

Time for some jelly babies????

I have an aunt who irons bras...

Just landed on Merseyside, not a bad run up through mid Wales to get here. As it got dark, I couldn’t really see my watch, so I just put Spike in full screen mode on my phone on the windscreen mount and could keep an eye on it as I drove. It dropped very slowly to 5.0 - so I had a single dex tab, which raises my by 0.6, and lo and behold within 20 minutes I was at 5.6, where it sat for the rest of the journey. V smug cyborg here

FWIW I aim to go to bed on a 5, but am happy in the mid-high fours. But I’m happy that my basal rate is set just right.

I like the green snowball bottles, as home made snowballs, in the distant past has been an awful lot more lol so a set amount of carbs in a small bottle, suits me just fine........... hic

Funny thing is my daughter said she likes rum and coke the other evening, which is news to me, so maybe I might buy a bottle for Christmas and try one myself, not sure if I will like the taste of rum though or

Lol, glad to see so many of us are on the same page on the "hating ironing" front!

My trick is just to wear jumpers a lot - just need to stretch out the collar of the shirt a bit till it looks sort of flattish, then stick a jumper on top so no-one sees the unironed bits.

When I buy a new suit, I always get one with a waistcoat - looks uber-bling and you only need to iron the shirt sleeves and collar.

Anyway, that's my contribution to the world of fashion for the evening...

Yes, I used to iron nearly everything, but hardly iron at all nowadays, I have more important things to do now, reading, going on the forum, reading, drinking tea or reading and drinking tea.................

So let me get this right. Shirt, collar flattened, high neck jumper, waistcoat and jacket.
You must be sweating mel’s cat mate.

Me too, and decent cotton t-shirts iron themselves if you wear them
. I’ve a friend who used to wear nothing but crinkle cloth as that never needs ironing. However, ironing’s more pleasant with a bit of scented water in the steam and music on. Can just about iron a couple of things that way.

I'll usually stick it out with the jumper gig till about June or early July then it gets too much...

The only time clothes get ironed in my house is if I’m in the process of making them. It’s referred to as a “steam emitting craft project flattening device”.

My husband has a penchant for Harris tweed three piece suits...

At 4 to 5 mmol/l I wait and watch. Check my BSL in 2 hours. However if I have been exercising in the afternoon particularly late afternoon, I will reduce my pump basal rate to 80% for 3 to 4 hours too.
