That's shocking @karen8967! Poor you! I've had to look it up, maybe I'm the only one here who doesn't know about parking lights at night, I had to look it up. Does the road you live on really have a speed limit over 30? I've never heard of this in too many years of driving to own up to.
Yes i live on a main road its the first ive heard of it and the road is three lanes wide ive parked on the pavement tonight prob get a ticket for that too

Can ye tell not diabetes related work issues then when i got home there was a ticket on my car off merseyside police saying i hadnt put my parking lights on in the hours of darkness i live on a main road which is well lit with street lighting ive never used them w.t.f dont use car for work as only 2 min walk away never noticed it but it was written at 3.51am have the police got nothing better to do.....like catch criminals or something 15 of the neighbours got 1 too il appeal it when fine comes through grŕ

Hi Karen,

Depending on where you live you may have a good argument for an appeal. The hours of darkness for Liverpool, area for example were 16.21 today. Or was your ticket at 3.51 in morning

Has this road you were ticked on got a 30mph mandatory speed limit? Or maybe lower at 20??

3.51 in the morning

This may help? https://www.askthe.police.uk/content/Q386.htm

In the dim and distant past I’ve heard about this rule however I live in a rural area with no street lights or pavements and there are often cars parked on the side of the road but they’re fairly easy to see and avoid. I would have thought with street lights there would be no concern

Morning all.

Where is a YAWN icon when you need it, first coffee of the day and listening to iPlayer plus a machine I have just started up is currently sat there with a black screen ~shrug~ no idea its the old IT Tech solution...…….switch it off and back on :hilarious:

Started the day on a 6.1 now sat here at 4.7.

On a side note....it seems that this machine heard me and has now loaded up the desktop.

A friend asked a while what I did so explained to which she said:
"You must really like computers and software?"
The answer
"No computers are the spawn of Satan and I hate software" :)

All is well in my world

I'm looking around Amazon for a collection of the original Captain Scarlet series.

We have a box set of Captain Scarlet, absolutely love it!

@karen8967 - definitely appeal, what a nightmare!

@helensaramay - eating yogurt with a credit card also works!

@porl69 - happy diaversary!

Not much to report here. Woke to a 3.8, corrected with the usual and now 6.8 and climbing so had to insulinate 0.9u to stop it getting lairy. Think my liver helped. Coming back down now. Quiet at today, might attempt a swimming. This is where we need @kev-w back, so I can ask his advice!

Morning all.

Rotten luck, @karen8967 ! Nobody likes a jobsworth. Whoever gave you that ticket is probably a miserable, grumpy so-and-so who needs to lighten up.

Funny... I had almost the exact same. After a blissful night on the border between 3 and 4, I nudged it up to 6.3 with a 1hr 0% basal, to enable the drive to work, but now need to nudge it back down again!
