@smc4761 definitely a colour/pattern problem leads to a lack of sartorial elegance and madam has a hissy. I was told that hypo level has been redrawn and is now classified as anything under 3.5 instead of 3.9 so it was only a little one... hope you're OK thoughMorning fellow teabags hope you all had a good night.
After the terrible overnight BG of past week, for past 2 days overnight BG has been just about perfect, in fact actually falling around 1.5 overnight, but fairly flat. Woke to a slight hypo of 3.4 this morning but overall pleased with past few nights.
Which begs the question why the highs prior to that. Still using same insulin and eating same things etc. Yup probably down to wearing red polka dot boxers and lime green socks
Hope you all have a good day
Hi Sue,curious to know where you heard t the info re level of hypo? NHS and Diabetes UK still give 'below 4'. Morning all.
Who wants to see an "interesting" graph from a long termer who should know better
Started the day on a 10.9 hhmmmmm not sure why but fine inject, breakfast and out. Just about to go out and something did not feel right.
And Low and behold
Yep guess which, smeg head, twonk, numpty, idiot, foolish idiot, pillock, and all other expletives forgot to inject before eating?and I have a headache which no doubt it caused by said high flying. ~sigh~
Now I'm annoyed with myself for such a school boy error, but goes to show that even seasoned professionals sometimes slip up.
Yes I know by to look of things I will hypo later, that's fine it what I want as I can manage it much more easily from that point. BUT that's just me.
Morning everyone, ready for Monday?
No solid food since breakfast yesterday and can't have any until this afternoon til after the yuk procedure. Had bitless orange juice to keep up the BG level but slightly worried of how I'm going to manage this today coz I can't drink anything after 7.30 this morning.
Going to have a quick prick and see if I can raise Madam to around 8
Ar’ernoon all, and good luck with the procedure @SueJB. Hope you’ve got a treat lined up for tonight. Don’t do a knikki . It’s always a slightly sadistic relief to hear that other people sometimes forget to inject too. It’s that nighttime basal one that’s the worst - did I? didn’t I? Shall I risk the high? Or shall I risk the hypo?
Thanks @Fairygodmother I arrived at Endoscopy at 9.20 for a 9.30 appointment. Their TV screen advised patience as their procedures sometimes overran. At 11.45 I'd had enough and asked the receptionist if I was going to be seen and when.Ar’ernoon all, and good luck with the procedure @SueJB. Hope you’ve got a treat lined up for tonight. Poor cat’s not well so cat and I are off to the vet later. He’s a big boy and I’ve just bought an extra big cat carrier for him. It’s self assembly so fingers in ears.

Yeah, that surprised me too when I was on the DAFNE course.
They state it as 3.5 in the educator's manual, but I've never been able to find out why they say 3.5 when everyone else says 4.

Thanks @Fairygodmother I arrived at Endoscopy at 9.20 for a 9.30 appointment. Their TV screen advised patience as their procedures sometimes overran. At 11.45 I'd had enough and asked the receptionist if I was going to be seen and when.
The young madam accused me of not having registered at the reception, I had and had also advised them I was diabetic as stipulated. The receptionist who I'd initially given my documents to was there and the two of them had a row. Turned out the 2nd receptionist had decided I hadn't turned up and filed my medical notes and appointment papers instead of giving me priority treatment.
Little madam when off to see the manager and was told to wait!!! WAIT!! I'd waited for 1.45mins for nothing. Manager came, profuse apologises and they would get someone to see me shortly. "Not good enough, I need to be seen immediately or I'm going to have a hypo"
I was in and being seen to 10mins later.
The moral of the story, don't be so patient and don't bother following instructions to tell the NHS you're diabetic
Forgot then to bolus for the food as you did @Knikki , my madam is now raging, too high to print!
Thanks @Fairygodmother I was very firm and controlled my anger. I'm extremely patient but as everyone knows red headed Leos have a formidable temper. Everyone makes mistakes and the incompetent madam made a blinderThe adrenaline’s no doubt had a hand in bs too. Hope you deal with it as firmly as you dealt with the incompetent reception-madam!
