Never, ever going to complain again about being 5 or 6... well until I forget. Horrid madam 8.8 this morning but hope to prune her back with some warm weather gardening. Tree man coming today to give me a quote. Hope it's not too late

Fun morning already for me - having scoffed daughter's pancake before my morning run I started heading northwards into the teens, so decided a run and bit of a bolus would knock that back into shape, cue 5km and 30 mins later and G6 is reporting a good 6.3 result so head off to work, started feeling a bit shaky, did a meter test and was 3.4, G6 was well behind, 2 calibrations later and am currently sat at 6.1 so good recovery, rarely get a G6 blip but must of been on a rapid descent

Best laugh i've had in ages on 'Ratemyplate'...

Fortunately my food would never make it on there

@hh1 I also have an Accu Chek moble that was palying up. I simply called them gave them the serial number of faulty machine and they sent out a replacement. Maybe try that as i like the Accu Chek mobile

Thanks, will do!

Morning all, not good!
Madam stuff strutting 8.9. Now did I do wrong by upping my basal last night? Thoughts please

It's Wednesday, so wishing you a happy and a safe day, take care prickler's

Awoke on a 9.7

Nice hypo you’ve got there. Be a shame if you were to.. OVERTREAT IT

Morning all. Been teaching this week, supply roulette won me Drama and Welsh yesterday English today. Still battling foot on the floor, it’s a conundrum as to how best to deal with it. Hey ho

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday

This morning, bizarrely, it was either brain activity or duvet gravity I was battling. 7.0 5.00 a.m., lay still for 45 minutes for the usual basal time alarm, alarm, cogitating Life and the Universe and why wasn't I wanting to get up immediately in response to my bladder. Alarm goes off, retest 8.6!!

Yesterday was a lovely day out in Lancashire, loads of walking despite the hours on the train, and the couple of hours talking (the purpose of the trip 3 or 4 times a year) I've smashed the "Guess how many carbs in this one, this time!" for my train journey treat meal of a cheese and onion pasty.

Still deciding what to do today, as tomorrow has appointments in it, and I want to do the chores around the appointments. But, I'm now battling, "Oh, just get them done." v. "Go and do something fun!".

"Oh, just get them done." v. "Go and do something fun!"

A poet that didn't know it?! My vote is do something fun.

Woke to a low, 3.6 but it was a nice steady low.

Basel? that's the long acting one? I cant remember which of them you use but most long term ones usually take at least 24-48 hours to work into the system so you may not see the effects of the change for that long.

EG I'm on Tresiba which has a 72 hour life span so any changes I make it usually takes 3-5 days for it to have an effect.

Morning all.

Battled sugars yesterday, know why and what I did but ended up OK in the end.

@Mel dCP OK what is "foot on floor" I know what DP is so is it the same? but I guess not because of a different name?

Morning all, a good bs night had here, and off to see Ashurbanipal at the BM today with older daughter. Culture plus natter, lunch, tea, and pie-in-the-sky plans to turn our gardens into hanging ones.

@kniki DP as we know is a BG rise early morning (the bodies way of prepping you to go out hunting for food first thing) and doesn't get affected by what time you actually get up, foot on the floor is an instant rise in BG as soon as you get up and put a foot on the floor - a more reactive version of DP I reckon.

@Knikki Thanks, yep it's the long acting one. I know I'm a relative junior but I thought that after a year and a half I'd know how to adjust.

Good morning all
Well an absolute nightmare BG wise last night. I cooked bolognese (spelling!) and pasta shells before the misses came home from work. Went into the shower and she weighed it all out for me and told me that there was 170g of carbs....didn't question it at all UNTIL about an hour and a half later. Hypo awareness is coming back (hate the hypo feeling) alarms going off with a 3.8 and double arrow down! Sorted that out with a few (ok lots) of jelly babies and started to feel ok and asked how she had worked the carbs out.....turns out she had mixed everything together and weighed it....DOH!!! Over treated the hypo and went up to 16 for bed, insulin resistance then kicked so stayed up until 2am to try to get me down to a reasonable level! Eventually went to bed on a 12 as was too tired to do anymore. Woke this morning to a 10, which I was happy about. Correction with my breakfast and now on a 6.1. Back to normal. Moral of the storey.....weigh your own food out lol
